Considering nitrous.. Need assistance.
Considering trying nitrous for some local heads up racing that is for local charity. Fun time, lots of money raised.

I'm looking at the Sledge hammer setup from induction solutions. Don't want to go over 200shot.

Have msd grid for timing of needed. Planning on setting up separate nitrous express fuel cell system with it.

Right now I run 9.0-9.1s@153 with n/a 555 on alcohol.
Won't spray till second gear after shift at 2.6sec.

How much mph do you think I'll pick up.. Trying to determine rpm. Have 4.11 with 29inch tire now and cross at 7450rpm.

Will normal ring gap be a problem?

Thanks for the assistance.

Configuration: 3350#, 582 C.I.,

60 - 1.24
1/8 - 5.53@ 126MPH
1/4 - 8.73@ 159MPH

3700#+210lb driver, FULL interior, through mufflers, 10.5 tire.
60'-1.333 (IN 4000ft DA! Joisy Math excluded; 1.25sec using JOISY MATH.) Wink
1/4 - 9.60@144MPH

What's the ring gap you have now?

you will gain more et getting it turned on early in the run,I turn on 150 jet at .5 and spray for 3.5 seconds in 1/8 mile racing and pick up around 3 tenths with alcohol

I don't have my note here but believe it was approx. .0045 x 4.560 = .021-.022

Spray it as early as possible. You will use less Nos. pull 4 deg per 100hp

Traction is a major issue at this location. I wont gain anything from spraying early as this location but agree on a normal track earlier is best.

With that said how much gain from 330-400ft mark out can one expect to see?

Other main concern is RPM at the end...any guesses.

For me in a dragster it was .09 per 100hp shot for 2.0 seconds of spray. So I would come out turn it on at the release of the trans brake and turn it off 2.0 seconds later. Would take my dragster down from 4.83 to 4.65 with 200 shot. Twin Gemini alky plate.

I'd have it at .035 for a 200hp hit

I played with it for about a year with alky injection, its can be fun, I can see it being addictive, also can be a PITA, maintaining bottle temp and pressures in the hot and cold, keeping bottles full etc. Also sucks when your bracket racing with it and a solenoid doesn't open when its supposed too and you lose because you cant run the number..
With a 200 shot your will need to turn it on early to make a difference, at the stripe all 200 with do is rev up the engine and blow thru the converter
