Homemade air powered from PVC.
Looks like this but I made it with PVC from HD and a tire valve. Don't know if I have any pics or what it takes to post them. There were some Youtube videos of them.

I have used one of these from Harbor Freight for about 10 years. This year I had to replace some O-Rings on it. I had one of the plastic ones a Racer made and sold here and did not like it at all.

I use this one also. I've tried replacing the O-rings but didn't have much success. I just accept that I'm going to leave a half gallon on the floor over the course of emptying the drum.

Other than the leaking, I love it. WAY better than the old hand pump.

No worries about moisture with compressed air and alcohol?

Maybe, I have drains on my air and use a small drier for my pump and my plasma cutter. Before using either I drain everything. So far so good as it doesn't take much air. Basically the air puts a little pressure in the drum to push the fluid and start a siphon. I use a tire valve on my home made version and it doesn't take much for the fuel to start flowing. When the barrel has more than 1/2 I have to shut the valve and never put air in after the initial amount.
An easy hack is to put a tire valve in one cap on the barrel and make a tube with a valve that screws in the other bung, add a hose and you're moving fuel. I would be careful about hooking a continuous air hose to the barrel which is why the tire valve works.

I used to when I first started but now after years just not the problem it was made out to be.

I have a GM T.B.I. in tank fuel pump with a piece of clear plastic hose that I drop into the drum, and power with a lawn mower battery or a small battery charger.
Been using it for 20 + years.
The T.B.I. pump had been in my inventory since Christ was a Corporal.
It's not real fast, but gets the job done.

*** Interesting side note:***
With the factory "sock" filter on the inlet, it will drain a drum completely dry.
The sock allows fluid to pass but not air.
