I can't find it in my search. But someone was going to get me pictures from a comp eliminator wheelie bar that had no length mounted to the rear end housing. Think it was a 4 cylinder turbo dragster. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

Are you maybe thinking about Bruno's car with the 4 banger? I can't remember if it was a shorty or not. Correction. Nope it was not his. He runs long iron. Car "Does get it" lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyTNwpi0dVsThis message has been edited. Last edited by: TD3550,

No. Someone here knew the guy who's name I can't remember. He ran adjustable wheels to keep from hitting the tire too hard. Was going to get pictures. Maybe the owner didn't want to share, which is fine too. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

Similar to this? Can’t really get a feel for length in the picture. https://www.kenkeirrace.com/products Tony Leonard

I ran a very short bar on my 225 hard tail top dragster. Don’t think I could have gone 6.30s without it. The top “bar” was a qa1 double adjustable coil over. I ran it with a standard spring, and then a valve spring. I changed shims on the valve spring to limit travel. Worked great. Wish I would’ve put it on the longer race tech that I replaced the short car with. The race tech with a standard long bar was way harder to control.

Do you think the dampener was useful or needed? Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

Ya, it was key on that car. I had the bar on the ground for anti squat. Initial hit would move the bar up. Compression setting controlled this nicely (although, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t get it right every time). Biggest thing was having some rebound stiffness there so as not to have the spring smack the bar back down as the car started to transfer weight. In my case, I wanted the nose to come up a couple feet. If I had gotten to spend more time in the comp dragster I drove I was going to build one with a big airspring on the top bar and put a controller on it so I could fine tune exactly where the bar was over the first 1/2 second of the run. It would be overkill for anything but a comp car with a stout index but would have been fun.
