Has anyone used or have any information on the 1 SPEC Evolution block or M&M Competition Engines block? (I think they are same?) The Dart Iron Eagle has been discontinued and will not be returning. Just do not see using a Little M with standard pan rails for big inch small block unless I have no other choice. This new block design looks pretty good. Has raised cam, tall deck available, wide pan rails and .904 lifter diameter. It also uses longer studds for maximum thread engagement. It does have oil filter provision on the block unlike the Rocket and Iron Eagle blocks. I saw this block at PRI and it looks interesting. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion

Bruce, I have not heard of the block. Something to consider, and I know this is a stretch, an LS engine. I have built my first one [that is an odd happening since the LS series of engines began in 1997] Anywho, a 4" stroke drops in the 6.0 iron block without mods. 4.030 bore x 4.00 stroke = 408 ci. I have fully worked LS 3 big port heads, big CDI intake 1150 Dominator, front cover that allows a distributor. It is expected to make around 750 horsepower. This is with a hydraulic roller. [go figger] It is in a 75 Vette I am building for a customer. We plan to have it at XRP by May. I will keep you in the loop. Larry Woodfin
