Was wondering how close can you run a drag slick to the leaf springs .

The type of slick, bias or radial matters. Bias needs more room than radials for the corners like exiting the track. We run about a 1/4" clearance with our radials with no rubbing.

We run a 29.5-10.5w bias tire on both an 11" and a 12" rim with 1/8th BS diff and have ran as close as 1/2" inch clearance with 1.37-1.38 60ft at 2625lb.

I'm looking right at 1/2" from slick to leaf spring at 10 psi , slightly more on the passenger's side say 5/8 "

You should be plenty good, just don't put it on a skid pad looking for lateral G's, or try to drift at the track turnoffs.
