broke a couple Jesel shaft rockers this weekend I do not know the history of them, but my question is if one was to upgrade or replace the rockers would you go to T&D or Jesel and why?

motor combo is pretty basic 584 with a set of dart SR20 heads. this combo has been together for a few years with me owning it. I did have it freshed up last yr. with no valve train changes made I don't believe I have a coil bind issue and anything going on like that.
I will say I do not use the torque wrench adjuster tool and wonder if I may have cause some of this to happen, they both snapped at the adjuster area and both intake rockers on opposite sides of the motor

I would look into Crower. Check all valve spring pressures you may have a weak valve spring / valve float.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I ran Jesel aluminum on my last build and didn't hsve any issues. I actually had a piston smack a valve and the pushrod tip split the pushrod instead of breaking the rocker arm. Was quite surprised at that. With the new build, it was T&D steel all the way. There are a couple of reasons I'm not at liberty to discuss here, but one of the reasons was the design of the T&D setup vs. Jesel.

As far as the torque wrench adjuster, I never did with my Jesel, but did buy it for my new combo simply because I wanted better consistency in adjustments and I wanted one.......

Neither. Go with APD shaft rockers. If you want to ensure they never break, spend the extra money and go with steel over aluminum

You already have the mounts so why not put steel rockers from Jesel on? Save a little over buying a complete set.

If they're breaking at the adjuster, it's most likely from over-tightening. Once you get the LSM torque wrench and see where they are supposed to be, you'll realize just how much you were over-tightening them.

Replace em all, best bet would be to upgrade to steel. Last time i priced Jesel on chromolly or steel rockers they were ridiculous on their prices. We just replaced a set of aluminum rockers on a 598 BBC with Dart 380's with a steel set from T&D $3000 delivered to the door for a complete set of 16.

The Crower shaft rockers are really nice units. A lot of engineering when into them and in my sons case (TD) then have been very reliable.
