I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado with max trailer package I am towing my 26’ enclosed trailer with and am about due for tires. I would like to put BF Goodrich All Terrain KOs on it but when I put them on my last truck I noticed a lot of truck sway and wondered if it was the sidewalks or the deep tread that caused it. Has anybody else ran that tire without issues towing?

I have a 2015 crew cab 6.2l, max tow package, with the 20.inch rims, i use the michelin defenders. Im hauling a 24ft enclosed, total.weight around 9700#. They wear really well, good tire all around. Not the cheapest tire, but i get about 55- 65k miles out of them

Michelin Defender LTX M+S. Quiet, smooth, great handling/ towing and work good in the rain. My favorite so far. This is a 80k mile tire on my tow (7k+ enclosed)/ daily driver 1500 truck.

I will check them out. This is my daily driver and the truck came with 18” wheels and Goodyear tires which presently got 76,000 on them. I just want a little more aggressive tire for winter time and some off the pavement travel plus a made in the USA tire.

Many 1500’s come with P rated tires (Passenger) that isn’t the best for towing. I use E load rated and in winter I put it in 4WD when necessary, but also have rear limited slip. Never been a problem.

I had no problem towing with the toyo m/t tire if the look of an all terrain is what you are going for

Yea my truck came with P rated tires which I didn’t realize when I bought it so I want to upgrade there.
It’s not the look I am after it’s the grip. Yes it is 4 wheel drive with a locking rear and I just like having extra grip for my hunting trips. If I am moving stuff around in my yard and it spins I want a tire that dig in not just spins on the grass.

I agree with markemark. I tow with a 3/4 ton now but when I was still using my 1/2 ton I put the Michelins on it and I liked them better than the Yokahamas I had on it. They felt more stable and decently priced.

The truck is equipped for what I am towing just fine other than the tires. It is rated to tow 11,000 and I am not even close to that. It got the heavier springs in the rear.

I sure wasn't calling you out for the 1/2 ton. I used mine for many years. Just relaying my experience with the Michelins and probably shouldn't have even said anything about my newer truck.

Its because the bfg doesnt have enough of a crown the old version was junk they came out with the new design last year or so they might be better. If you want an A/T the mickey baja is by far the best tire on the market they tow just fine. Ya only get 40 to 50k of life out of em wether youre towin or not just like any other truck tire.

I would be happy getting 50,000 out of a tire on a 4x4. I used to run Sports Kings on my old truck until they stopped making them in the USA and I didn’t tow enclosed trailer too much with those tires but I don’t know when I went to BFG which was about 6 years ago I wasn’t too happy with how it towed.
This truck goes great just looking to upgrade on the tires and want something that will get me out of the woods if I get back in some rough country.

only regret i have with the baja atz's is the fact i ordered the 35's instead of the 37's... just make sure you air up the rears before you tow

if you dont like those the general grabber A/T's are good tires, cost less than bfg's and out perform them.

I'm doing a 19.5" conversion on mine for the next tire change. Tires won't be an issue again after that......only drawback is initial cost. After that you get about 3-4 times the tire life and way better load carrying capability....well worth the investment

To my knowledge, there are no true all-terrain tires that are designed to run with high pressure, (like 50-80 PSI, as in Load Range E). Please correct me if I am wrong. And that low pressure, (35 PSI or less), is what makes P-Metric tires so much more squirrely than LT tires, because it allows for all that lateral sidewall movement.

Ran these on my F250 Super Duty 4x4, towed with them, liked them very much. Liked them much better than the 4 sets of BFG TA KO's that I had run for years...

I no longer tow with this truck and changed to the Cooper STT Pro, great tire for snow...

I dont know what you classify as a "true A/T" but my mickeys are load range E. My 35x12.5 20 are max 60 psi cold, The last set on 17 inch wheels were max 80 psi cold same tires, different sizes. They dont offer every load range in every size but you can get them in metric also if youre into that sort of thing
