I think the Boss Lady has the deal hammered out. We'll see she's not home yet.

Fern, I know the BS with paying cash. When I bought my 2023 Duramax Dually in 2022. I paid cash & wanted my cash discount. They said they didn't do that & I called their bluff. It wasn't much compared to the price of the truck, but they advertised a cash discount.

Boss Lady got her new vehicle, just because she could. LOL!

It felt funny to ride in it to get my runabout truck. As she says I own 2 trucks & she didn't have a vehicle.

Happy Thursday...

Brian, glad she found one she likes. We're fortunate not to have mortgages on our vehicles. Wife loves those crossover types. Currently has 2022 KIA Sorento. She's not much for driving my trucks, which I have 4 of, and about to be another, If a Suburban counts. Swapping work for a customer for it.

Fern, hope things are continuing to improve over there. I'm planning to hit GALOT for the IHRA race coming up. I hear Shirley Muldowney gonna be there for a meet-n-greet. Gonna have a friend take a pic with her and send to his pop. His pop used to race against her waaaaaay back before she became famous. Hates her like the plague. No reason to doubt the stories he tells of her, which make her appear not so likeable. Will be a funny gag to play on him. LOL.

Chipping away at the car a little bit over the past few days. Installed new seat harness and worked on the oil leak. May or may not have it fixed. Oil pan is an old custom build from late 90's's. Had to remove centerlink to get to the access hole for middle pan rail bolt. Pan is tight, and hole sealed up with a big fat plug of silicone. I'm curious if I can get the old harness recertified. Simpson brand, expired in 2015, but like new. My brother only made a dozen runs with them before health parked him and the car. Waiting on new tires, helmet and new bag for parachute now. Chute is good, bag has a big rip on top. Might drive the car a bit this weekend. Have a nice'ish 800-1000' access road at the house I can use.

Hope everyone is doing well out there....

Bking mama has 3 already, Camry, Honda CRV, and her Smart car. I got a SL63 Mercedes, a Harley Davidson F-150, F-350 Dooley, and MY Smart car. But I got some extra cash and the itch!!! Glad you got her one.

Mama continues to improve. Thanks for all the love.

I intend to be at Farmington next week for the Foot brake race. I won this once and
was runner up once a long time ago. Then the plan is for Piedmont after Thanksgiving. That’s the plan anyway.

Everyone stay safe

Happy Saturday y'all. Super stoked after todays progress. New tires showed up and new helmet as well. Old one, SFI cert expired a few years ago. Oil leak appears to be fixed. Had problems with my timing lights last week and planned to check with another I have. Instead, decided to clean up underneath car while putting centerlink back, then took it for a ride up n down our road. First time driving it in roughly 21 months. Felt great. I'll verify timing and valve adjustments tomorrow and go for another ride. Waiting on new bag for chute. I'm more optimistic about getting it to the track before the season ends now.

Y'all have a great weekend

Maybe! I had to remove the whole fuel system because that stuff in the fuel cell came apart and Crapped everything up. It started with the fuel pressure gauge acting up. I replaced that, no difference so I checked pressure regulator, same thing. So I headed out back and found the big canister filter completely clogged. Nothing had got to the pump but the cell was full of that junk. Long story short I worked on it 2 days and got it running tonight at 7:30....Never had that happen before. So still may make it to Farmington. Everyone stay safe.

Good luck at the Farm Fern. I'm headed as a spectator to GALOT Saturday. May go tomorrow as well, but that's still a toss up. Have some friends racing there this weekend. Bag came in today for the parachute. May install it tonight, or use my nearly broken index finger as an excuse to get a little lazy. Cutting tree limbs for a customer, one got a little loose unexpectedly and got me good. Had a sharp piece of wood go through the meat just below middle knuckle as well. Swollen like a sausage now. Think I'll fire up the hotrod to cheer myself up a bit. LOL.

Y'all have a great Thursday...

Won 2 rounds then lost by .001 at the finish. I thought I was in front. So much for thinking. Start today at noon. Having a good time and was fun watching the big red Cougar from SC eat the hot dogs one after the other right to the final.

I was doubled and won both first and second round. Then lost both in third round today. Hauled a$$ as the weather front was in plain sight and coming fast. I just got here---dry. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Happy Sunday y'all.... Hope everyone out there is doing well.

Hope the race went well for ya today Fern. Nothing new on the car, but that's been expected the past few days. Finger still a problem and now hand swelling up. Dummy me, learned another lesson I should already know, about not getting proper treatment when I should. Finger ain't getting better and went to doc. Appears to be a cellulitis infection from the puncture wound. Should be ok soon enough with proper pharmaceuticals.

The IHRA race at Darana Motorsports in Dunn, formerly GALOT, was great. Far different vibe compared to NHRA events I've attended. Spoke with several racers who I've known for years and others I've never met. They all say IHRA treated them like they want them back. Without making an anti NHRA post here, (I'll still go to their events as well), it sounds as though many plan to skip NHRA events in favor of IHRA in the future.

Y'all have a great week.

You sure aren't picky about who you look up to. Got cold today and I had to get the car and trailer in the garage and the motor home in its spot. Done!

Someone sent me a PM about the VA, send another as I lost it.

Hi Bryan:

Anytime you and your wife want to visit San Diego you are more than welcome to stay with us, it's a lot less expensive than a Hotel/Motel in this $$$$$ town. We have hosted a lot of Racers over the years, most of them survived the experience.

Happy Sunday y'all. Hope everyone's getting along well with the weather cooling off. Haven't taken much time to tend to the race car, but did get the new chute bag on and packed. Unusually busy work week along with working on the other house, (hopefully to be sold soon). Last race of CCRA season this coming week. Doubt I'll have it ready, but going to give it a try. Still a handful of things to do, both car and trailer. A friends been working on his car and we've got a little friendly competition going, on who gets their car out for a pass first. Saw his trailer hooked up Friday evening. Rooting for him to get back on track, just maybe a day after me. LOL... Y'all have a great week.
