Happy Birthday there. I know what it's like trying to eat being on the hose. It is an adventure. Have a great meal.

Happy Birthday to both Floyd and Fern. Floyd, that piece of meat looks absolutely beautiful. Right up my alley.

Nothing new going on around here, aside from this damm new'ish house continually costing me $$$ and pissing me off. Bright side,, sooner or later it will stop bleeding my checkbook dry. Y'all have a great week out there...

Can you tell me when that starts? I am looking forward to that moment. Been in ours since 2011 and the wife keeps finding things to change. LOL

Metal roof last June and the other night we were sitting watching TV and she looks at me and says, "we should get a quote for new windows"!!!! Just kill me now.

LOL... Mine seems to work hard to find ways to spend my $$$... When I say mine, I mean both house and wife. LOL. I'm convinced there's something in the wife DNA that is responsible for this. Most married men I know have a similar issue.

Since last post. Went to Baltimore and got 2 new roofs, some gutters, dug up sewer line to septic and replaced it because roots had invaded over the years. Then tore out bath tub and tile surround in daughters house. Then tore up the hardwood floors in the same room. Yesterday drove 9 hours back here. Dr apt today for knee. Life is good. Everyone stay safe.

Happy Easter to all y'all. Dang Fern,,, you've been a busy one over there. Better to be busy than sitting idle watching the world go by though. And you're right, life is good indeed.

I'm glad to be busy again with work since the house debacle wore out my bank account. Haven't paid much attention to the race car, aside from airing up the front tires yesterday. I did make a small shopping list of needs for it that I'll spend a few months saving up for. So far I'm only around $3000 for that. Once we sell the old house I should be back to some level of financial comfort and justify my fun money again. Going to start piddling around with pops 64 F100 again as well. Hasn't run since roughly 2005'ish. looks pretty rough, but the rat rod thing is still pretty popular around here, so it will fit right in. I figure new fuel lines and fuel cell (original is inside cab and leaked), change oil, tranny fluid, coolant, complete brake overhaul and it might be ready to run again, I hope. It's nice to finally have a garage for this stuff, instead of temporary shelters and enclosed trailers.

Y'all have a great week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I found a pinhole in #7 cylinder wall so I got to order a new block and pull the engine.

We got 4" of rain over the weekend so things are pretty soggy around here. I spent the first half of Sunday wiring on this.

Spent the second half vacuuming water out of my building. ugh

BTR I understand about that feeling of financial comfort after selling a former house. I carried the house we were in before this one a whole year while my youngest son and his wife lived there for 8 months when they were just starting out and then the next 4 until is sold. Was glad to see that mortgage payment gone.

Fern you're working too hard to be retired. lol

Nice work Curtis. Well its more of the same. Yard was knee high when I got home there so was that then had to replace the timbers around the flower beds. And pollen! Even the vehicles in the car port were yellow. None of it would blow off so I ended up washing 3 vehicles then washing down the car port. Don't know if I mentioned it but the inside drivers door handle broke in my Mercedes. They say the only fix is a new door panel at $1000+ installation at $225hr. I got it apart and intend to fabricate something to fix it. Pretty flimsey part for a car that cost this much but I got those hillbilly skills they know nothing of in Germany. Kathryn and I got treated to a fancy dinner at NC State because she has donated to the agriculture college for 10+ years. Pretty impressive spread for a couple of no bodies like us. But I guess I give a little bit to racing and she gives to education......some of you that can afford it should try giving a little back. I got to get off of that spiel. Had a wonderful Easter and now sad that the Pope has passed. Everyone stay safe.
