Floyd StaggsMornin Y'all!
The liquid sunshine screwed things up for all the racers out here on the gold coast yesterday. It was cold and wet all day. Today looks better but still chilly. Gotta get my boy over here to get some new throttle linkage put on the old hay truck. It hasn't been getting full throttle. Not enough throw on the old linkage.
Michelle, if I get to come it will be get there Friday, leave on Sunday. Lot of travelin for just one day.

susiew442Good morning everyone. Cold & rainy here in Cali, they were skiing last night at one of the ski resorts in the Sierras. Looks like they will all be open by Thanksgiving again this year. 10 days till we go to Tennessee again and see the kids and our house, I can't wait. I will be glad when I can say we are going for good, maybe by next year, but probably not. Are any of you going to make it to Bowling Green for the Thanksgiving Race? We are probably going to go up there for one of the days and watch.
Hey Mike almost done with the taters? Floyd, you are supposed to be retired, not tired.
Our buddy Ron "The Hammer" Nichols found us a 455 really cheap and with a bit of work and a few more dollars, we will have a motor back in the car by the 1st of the year. This motor won't be as fast as the old one, but it's what we can afford to build right now and will get us back out to the track.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and good luck to those who are racing.
Hugs & Prayers all around.

26 years ago today, I married my beautiful wife. It certainly doesn't seem like it's been that long ago. I guess it's true, that time flies, when you're having fun.

Floyd StaggsMornin Y'all!
We skippedn fall out here and went straight to winter. It was 56 degs when I went to get my first cup of coffee.
The rain put a halt to the PSCA race ysterday and the cold put a hold on the Div 7 race. Maybe it's time we shortened our season.
Michelle, I can cook a hell of a lot better than I can race. Hurry up and win that lottery and I'll put some meat on those bones.

Y'all have a gooden. I gotta rset up today so I'll be ready for my 3 day work week startin tomorrow.
Speakin of rain, we have rain forecast for next weekend when the finals are supposed to run. We've had some rain that weekend for the last couple of years.

ChuckTMornin' all! Monday Monday again. Ah well. Nice day here, 62 and sunny. Hoping it stays dry for the weekend. I want to make PRP's last day of the season and get a shot at an 11.9x pass.
You know it's a weird weather year when we're warmer in Pittsburgh than Floyd is in Cali, and we had an earthquake, and now Mouse did too.
Mouse, congrats on the anniversary. Good stuff!
Susie, glad to hear you found some new Rocket power. Over build it and under rev it and it will do just fine.
Brandon, I hope married life is treating you well. I gave a loose thought to trying for the Farm this weekend but I'm going to stick close to home.
Hi Mike!

I know what you mean about needing a DRR fix. I get that way when I haven't been on for awhile.
Michelle, a friend of mine offered me a ticket for PRI, but I don't know if I can swing the time off. I think I saw 5 rounds the one day in the Camaro? How was the rest of the weekend?
Ken, I'm jealous of your nap.

ChuckTMornin' all! Beauty of a day here in Pittsburgh, sunny and 68.
I always think of the Big & Rick song, 8th of November, especially today.
On November 8th, 1965,
The 173rd airborn brigade,
On operation Hump,
In war zone "D" in Vietnam,
Were ambushed by over 1200 VC.
48 American soldiers lost their lives that day.
Severely wounded and risking his own life,
Lawrence Joel, a medic,
Was the first living black man,
Since the Spanish-American war,
To receive the United States Medal of Honor,
From saving so many lives in the mists of battle that day.
Our friend Niles Harris retired 25 years, United States Army,
The guy who gave Big Kenny his top hat,
Was one of the wounded who lived.
This song is his story.
Caught in the action of kill or be killed.
Greater love hath no man,
Then to lay down his life for a friend.
(Above spoken intro by Kris Kristofferson)
Said goodbye to his mamma
As he left South Dakota
To fight for the Red, White, and Blue.
He was nineteen and green with a new M-16
Just doing what he had to do.
He was dropped in the jungle
Where the choppers would rumble
With the smell of napalm in the air.
And the sergeant said, "Look up ahead"
Like a dark, evil cloud
1,200 came down
on him and 29 more.
They fought for their lives
But most of them died
In the 173rd Airborne.
(Chorus)
On the 8th of November,
The angels were crying
As they carried his brothers away.
With the fire raining down
And the Hell all around
There were few men left standing that day.
Saw the eagle fly,
Through a clear, blue sky
1965, the 8th of November.
Now he's fifty-eight
And his ponytail's grey
But the battle still plays in his head.
He limps when he walks,
But he's strong when he talks
About the shrapnel they left in his leg.
He puts on a grey suit
Over his Airborne tattoo
And He ties it on one time a year
And remembers the fallen,
As he orders a tall one
And swallows it down with his tears.
(Chorus)
On the 8th of November,
The angels were crying
As they carried his brothers away.
With the fire raining down
And the Hell all around
There were few men left standing that day.
Saw the eagle fly,
Through a clear, blue sky
1965, the 8th of November.
Saw the eagle fly,
Through a clear, blue sky
1965.
(Chorus)
On the 8th of November,
The angels were crying
As they carried his brothers away.
With the fire raining down
And the Hell all around
There were few men left standing that day.
(Chorus)
On the 8th of November,
