weascaspI was going to wait to update in the morning, but we have such a wonderful family and friends that are praying and really care about Mark, I couldn't wait till then.
Mark came out of recovery around 8pm tonight and was moved to his room. When we went up to see him of course he was in pain and still coming out of anesthesia. His nurses were there checking his vitals and when I went to him, he looked pale to me and he was sweating. I told his nurse that he didn't look right, so they kept monitoring him. After a few minutes, Mark was starting to be unresponsive, and his nurse said that there would be a lot of people coming in and a crash cart. I stayed with Mark as long as I could, but they made me leave. They started giving him more fluids, his heart rate went up but blood pressure was going down. They got him stable. After about 45 minutes to 1 hr, he started to be more awake and knew that I was there along with Sonya, Joey and our dear friend Father John. About 45 minutes later, I was going to leave and get some sleep and Sonya was going to stay with him. I was watching him sleep, but his breathing was not right nor was his color and he started to sweat and I could not get any blood reaction in his fingertips. He would not respond to me. I called the nurse and Mark went into cardiac arrest. They hurried me, Sonya and Joey to the family lounge and worked on Mark. They brought him back and stabilized him and moved him to ICU. Mark is okay, he is stable! He does have a breathing tube and is sedated. They are giving him blood and fluids and watching him very closely! We were able to see him for a little while and he is is doing fine! Mark is okay now! He will stay in ICU for a couple of days and then be moved back to his room. I'm sorry to have to tell you all this, but you're our family and we both love you all! I'm okay!
Please continue to pray for Mark! He will beat all of this! I need to get some sleep and I will be with him tomorrow as long as I can! We love you all!!
Good Night,
Christine

Floyd StaggsChristine, I really feel for you. What a terrible thing to go through. Sounds like it's going to be allright now. Must have been a reaction to the anesthetic.
Hang in there, Girl, it's going to be okay. My boy saw my buddy yesterday for the first time in a while and he was suprised with how well Jeff is doing. Prayers, time and good medicine do work.
Have a good day everyone. We have Mark's recovery to be thankfull for as well as everything else. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is an open door here, come on by anytime, you're all more than welcome!! You have never seen so much food either!!! Turkey, stuffing balls in gravy, the very best mashed potatoes, brocolli casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, corn, pea salad, yeast rolls, watergate salad, homemade coconut cake, pumpkin & sweet potatoe pie, and I know I've forgotten something....
Seems really weird not racing this year, but in a good way too

Marty, I was just wondering something, when you pull the trigger does it go 'click' or do you hear a big boom??~lol sorry, I couldn't help myself!

Good luck on the buck!!
Much love to you all!!!

Happy turkey day!!!

MsFurr, Christine is the one that has to be tuff. Mark can just hang in there and let them purty nurses cater to his every whim.
Not to sound patronizing but you girls put up with a lot of crap from us guys in trying to get us growed up.
That sounds like a fine dinner you got planned.
Happy gobble gobble day everybody, I've got to get busy and start prepping my prime rib to take over to my boys house. When we do it at his house I've got the easy part.
Wake up, Guy!

MsFurrnow Pat!

I really can cook, but it tastes so much better when someone else does! (hey, no pun intended there) I will say I am "happily supervising" quite a bit today as Rick, Madi & Adiayn are working on all of my recipes!! They're having fun, so why interfere??

"Thomas" ~they named him as they were rubbing my special concoction allover him~ just came out...smells heavenly!
Floyd, you're right but Ma B is one of the tuffest cookies I know...Mark has a lot to fight for...oh, and you've got to do the prime rib whenever we finally get all together, sounds great!

ChuckTGood morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Hey Mike! Thanks for always having the right words for prayers.
Floyd, I'm missing Diane with you. Sounds like you have great memories.
MsFurr, impossible... my momma's mashed potatoes are the best. And I helped! I could go for some deviled eggs though.
Christine and Sonya, thanks so much for the updates. We're all praying hard and often. I am so glad you just knew Mark wasn't right. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Floyd StaggsGuy, sounds good. I've got a little left over turkey from what I fixed at work yesterday.
MsFurr, the prime rib turned out excellent. My son said it was the best I've ever done. I'd be proud to do it when we all get together.
I did an 8 lb prime rib, my boy did a spiral cut ham, mashed potatoes, my daughter in laws mother did a turkey, marshmellows and sweet tators, corn and stuffing. We had 4 different pies for desert, Marie Callenders. I'm stuffed and have leftovers for next weeks lunches.
Nap time!
Prayers Mark!
