If you every worked as a line mechanic on junk nobody else wanted to fix or could fix, you might like these videos. I find it satisfying to watch a true mechanic (with proper tools) as opposed to a clueless parts changer. It’s on YouTube https://youtu.be/xk8_uy6H6Bs 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185

Yes, he is an exception to the rule, I've followed him, off and on, for some time now. Knows his trade and enjoys plying it (well most of the time . Illegitimi non carborundum

I bet he goes through a lot of drill bits doing everything high-speed. Maybe I've been drilling wrong all these years. Mike Allred

I was wondering the size of the power tool battery storage area. You every think how much harder it must be to do work like that and shoot good video. Dude definitely has talent. Comments are funny like the mocking of the office phone ringer. And the start and hood release comments. Crazy the time I waste looking at things like this on YouTube, but great diversion from all the other BS. 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185

just did this Thursday. No big deal. Had to do 2 on the same wheel as the idiot previous shop really screwed them up. All the other nuts were fine other than some being loose and some being tight. mechanic'n for 3 decades, you learn a lot of things.

Yup, done this back in the early 80's on a 71 Grand Prix to get a wheel off. Like 4 out of 5 lug nuts rounded off.

He had a video that he talked about that. I think he would struggle because of his honesty and mandate to do a job correct, as opposed to a bush fix or tell the customers what they want to hear. He would also miss his free time a great deal as that could be gone if it was his shop. I know some 1-2 person shops and they struggle to find me time. PS The stud drill out was kind of a weak example of many of his other YouTube repairs. 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185

This is a perfect example of how his honesty, cost him (and the customer) out on what was definitely needed. https://youtu.be/JN3zY1w2H4c 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185

I found this YouTube of a friend of Ray, telling his story. Worth a watch if you follow his channel. Definitely a special person. https://youtu.be/4wQXXlopcV8 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185
