For me its the building and tuning on top of list. As for the run its burnout. I enjoy the speed also(all police offers look away).I always had a speed problem and never get enough even with some 240 mph plus pass; in TA/D. He11 I got pulled for passing cars on ten spd bike. LMAO but true story.

Either wheelies or driving the stripe. Tough call.

The drive to the track if under 10 hrs and my win light coming on.

Hanging out with my friends. I love the racing part and everything to do with it, but for me it's more about being with like minded people doing what we love to do....

Win or lose, I enjoy making great passes. A solid RT and an ET I was expecting. A even better than expected MPH is always a plus. I've reached an age and a laziness level that makes me not enjoy working on the car. Seems I meet another new nice person, every time I make a trip to the track. Take care. Tom Worthington

Just an attempt to get out is an accomplishment.

But other than that, when we do, One guy will smoke a pork shoulder and the other guy does the smoked ribs. Racing? whats that. We eat like kings. Almost one time missed qualifying. Was patching a drive tire on a toter. lol Now, where the *** did he go?

Chris I have been fortunate to win quite a bit. That said the question was MOST enjoyable part.

Winning is #1, meeting great people you only see a few times a year #2, and it pulling itself in the trailer #3.

The rest just cost money and makes you angry.

I think it is the challenge and winning means you did something right. I enjoy meeting people and shooting the bull but yes, I am there to try to win. We are all good friends there, until the staging lights come on.............



After we that we are still good friends win or lose.

I also enjoy the tuning part of it making the car run the number in different weather.

Towing back to the trailer and all the other trailers are gone!

Time with my family sounds like a cop out. We could spend time at home too. We do enjoy the competition. Time with friends? Well, I have to say that this has changed over the years for me. One reason is that people travel all over and to different races and we find ourselves not at the track together often. Some have stopped racing for the most part or race different races than we do. We have found ourselves wondering where the friends went at times. Yes very much we have some good people that we always look forward to spending time with. But this year my son did a lot of winning, and frankly when you are winning, you are pretty busy all day. He won points championships at two tracks, one N and one IRHA. We felt like we kinda celebrated alone this year. One or two people said something at the track. Some on Facebook. Geeze I usually go out of my way to congratulate the points winner if they actually announce it. Just different groups of people we are racing with now it seems. Still a couple that would help if you had a problem and that you would help if they did gladly.
It's funny, sometimes when we go to the championship races, we end up having a good time with other people at those races. Fun to meet new people who have also enjoyed some success at their home tracks I guess.

I like getting out of the house, being outside in the sunshine, taking a little road trip to the track, and tuning & driving my car.

#1 competing, understanding to the best of my capacity and improving by listening my knowledge of the sport I love. Making a great pass and running the right numbers, getting ready for first round... and going rounds. Friendship and enjoying the beautiful day occasionally stuffing bills into my pocket.
