I'm realizing I'm slowly losing what little talent I thought I had the older I get. This was my worst showing for this event & I had another that was close. This was my 7th appearance at the Spring Fling Million. The other 5 years I have walked away with small checks & one year I won more $$$ than what was invested in entry fees. That year I made/lost in the finals of Pro. I also went out in the 4th round of the Million. It was a good year. Out of 7 events raced, I considered myself competitive for 5 of them.

I'm running out of time & slowly losing my competitiveness. I think I have one more year for the Million & after that will probably stick with only entering the (3) 30Ks.

I decided I was going to race the event on my 30x9 Hoosiers. The set I started the race on had about 70 runs on them. I had a brand-new set & I had Hoosier mount them at the track. I took my low run PBRs as a spare set.

My PBRs were my go-to radials but since running these C30 compound Hoosiers they fit my program just a tad better than the PBRs. They're a softer compound & I also tested the new Hoosier DR3 DOT radial 275/60R-15 that's a softer compound. I'm starting to like the softer compounds, but don't get the runs out of them like the PBRs.
