Rained enough earlier to cancel tonight’s test n tune. Thought I was prepared. Been 10 years since I’ve raced with today being my first go at it since early 2015 and my preparation, or lack there of is showing. I’ll be updating on the “Good Morning” thread once I figure out how my weekend goes.

Alan R and I have talked a lot about that car. Jimmys a great guy! I hope you have a blast with it! Good luck and have fun William.

Runs canceled tonight, I have no runs down the track. Supposed to get 1 hit in each class back to back in the morning. I'm not holding my breath!

BTR,

Good luck this weekend & be safe!

Like Bryan said above, no runs Friday, supposed to run at noon, called to the lanes 530pm,i think it was, they called 4 classes all 8 lanes filled front to back, each lane holds 33 cars, do the math. 8pm, to cold,to wet, called the raced. Looked like the I15 freeway trying to get out of the lanes back to the pits. Supposed to have a hit at 8am this morning, temp at 49 at 6am here now, wont happen at 8 I don't believe. Elims scheduled to start at noon.

You can't make this shyt up. We're at the Monkey Spanking Nationals!

Dialing blind in both classes. I picked a 9.05 for my Open Comp time & will probably use it for No-Box also.

There was a couple handfuls of racers in the same spot.

Made it through 1st round on both classes, but we're fighting MAP sensor issues.

For efi spares, map and tps is good. A cts if used in programming. If you program in VE a spare mat might be wise. If monitoring engine vac, a 2 bar sensor would allow you to use as a spare map sensor.

They raced late! Did you win? I watched a few rounds and checked out!

Anyone see the video of the guy in the Chevelle having trouble just backing up from his burnout, then crossed the centerline taking out the 60' cone, coasting and moving back into his lane he takes out the finish line cones? hahahahaha The announcer was killing me with his sigh at the end.

The Street Car Super Nationals is the biggest promoted cluster F..k of a race event around!

I darn near hit a few spectators while trying to get to the burnout box; my wife actually thought I did while watching on Youtube. It didn't happen just once; it was a couple of times.

While I drove pretty well in both classes making 3 rounds in Open Comp & 4 rounds in No-Box. I did learn some things: don't come back to this race, don't double when I'm alone & I need some practice being chased.

Pretty much going to leave it at that!

Didn’t want to bug you today but I did see that and the announcer was telling them to move out of there if you aren’t with the car in the box!

If your map sensor is mounted rigid to the intake, do you think this caused the failure?

It was mounted rigid to the intake. According to the guy that helps me tune it was mounted incorrectly. I had the boost/vacuum port mounted up & that allowed the methanol to drain into the MAP.

Does the MAP being hard mounted to the intake play a factor?

I don’t know if ridged mounting 5v sensors would lead to early failure. All my 5v sensors are remote mounted with the exception of the engine vac sensor that’s screwed into the plastic oil fill cap.
