the aerospace brakes do not have provisions for safety wire.

I had the bolts walk out on my brakes as well. Moving to Strange brakes was one of the best things I ever did.

It's as simple as drilling the bolt heads or buying predrilled bolts.

The way the allen bolts are sunk into the rotor there is not a way to get the wire in and out.
It is a really bad design

I got ya.

I would like to see them because there may be a way to use a set screw into the head of the bolt through the caliper body or machine a slot for the wire.

Shouldn't say this because it will probably bite me in the a**. Preventive maintenance! Cars should not hit the track the beginning of the year without going over every bolt, checking welds, frames, fluids, chutes etc. and then again mid year.

Back when I was running TAD in the early 90's, both chutes failed to deploy at Atlanta after a 230mph pass, I got on the brakes too hard and it started bouncing (even scraped up the chassis under my butt), I let off the brakes to let it calm down, then got on the brakes HARD, was able to stop just short of the sand trap. When I got out of the car the Safety Safari was already there, and the rotors where glowing red with smoke pouring off them.

I have had a couple of those happen to me along with another. I had my throttle hang open once running my door car in S/C. But my usual procedure was to put it in neutral and click it off. So other than the loud pop out the exhaust no other drama.

I had a fire that made a big mess. Never cold determine what happened but seems as though a small fuel leak and arrant spark from the coil/wire. Needless to say it made a mess but thanks to a group of great racers and the onboard system the damage while large was not worse.

Also had someone back into my car in the lanes. Broke the front end and headlight area. We patched it up and raced that weekend. That and the fire both happened in Boise and I have not been back since. But plan to return next year if my truck is done.

I had the steering wheel come off in my hand leaving the starting line once, then went into the "funny car front end death shake back and forth". I tried jamming the steering wheel back on and it looked like a lathe in the car, LOL.
