Looking to get a economical (sounds better than cheap) tent for some shade .Not looking to spend a bunch since it will be short term use, till I can get trailer built. Short term may be a hopeful thing, didn't plan on taking this long to get car done either.

Figure few here may have some input as to what they use that while not high priced has lasted cpl years.

10x20 and you better have a few friends to help you put it up. I have a friend that has one, never got set up and still hasn't made it back in the bag, we just gave up.

Anchoring is important. A little wind comes up and next thing is damage to your car or others. I saw some no prep guys the other day testing at my home track. They used Tec Screws, big ones, right into the blacktop. Seemed kinda rude to do to someone's blacktop. But easier than the weights you can buy too. Being out of the sun is a good thing anytime you can.

Here is a nice price on a 10 x 12 from Ace hardware if you have those where you are.

I bought a 12 x 12 Ozark Trail brand from Wal-Mart for $99 after my Quik Shade ended up on top of my trailer. It is a pretty nice canopy for the money and I set it up by myself all the time.

Back in 2012 I too, was looking for a temporary shade canopy until I had time to get an awning installed. I went to Harbor Freight and figured I'd probably be lucky to get one season out of one of there's. To my surprise, the frame was pretty sturdy! I have used it almost every weekend in addition to the awning on the trailer. It has been well worth the $79 I paid. The frame is still in perfect condition, and the fabric has held up well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one again.

Academy Sports had an ad on tv yesterday, for a 10x10 for 49.00. Now, you know what you get for 50 bucks....

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.

YEARS AGO YOU WOULD GENERALLY GET MORE WHEN YOU PAID MORE, BUT I HAVE SEEN ITEMS FROM ONE SUPPLIER/COMPANY BE 49.00 AND YOU THINK WELL THAT IS A CHEAP PIECE OF CRAP AND THEN YOU LOOK AT ANOTHER COMPANIES ITEM FOR 149.00 BUT YET WHEN YOU GET IT UNPACKAGED IT IS THE SAME 49.00 JUNK REPACKAGED/RELABELED.

Yea like the 10x20 but maybe PIA for one person to put up and get in place. Plus with 10x10 I can use just one to shade driver and fuel tank on sun shinny days.
