Strangest or funniest things at the track
A year or so ago,a guy had a bye run in Top Dragster.
Went down by himself and made a nice run.
Ran 5.91 and lost the round and was disqualified from the event for going too fast.
Now that is strange.

Why did the plane land on the track, I don't know but they obviously knew it was because they stopped racing. The plane belonged to the other boys father and the kids were maybe 10--12at the time.

442 I saw just about the same thing 2 weeks ago at Darlington. Young man had bye in a gamblers race and was out because he red lighted on the bye run.

How can you lose a race (A race requires two vehicles) when there is no one in the other lane there is NO RACE. This was a single BYE run!

A very long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I watched an early model Mustang (which apparently had an open differential) drop the clutch. The Mustang didn't move an inch. However, when the clutch was engaged again, the car again didn't move an inch. It was then that everyone watching noticed there was neat pile of lugnuts laying on the ground. All of the studs had sheared off but the wheel had not left the flange. The Mustang was carefully jacked up and removed from the starting line. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

My buddy was checking his system 1 oil filter and was having trouble putting the top back on it and asked if I had any WD-40. He never cleaned the filter, just pulled it apart to check the screen for metal. It was covered in oil so much, he had oil dripping off his elbows holding it up and showing me.

Watched a racer stage with his rear tires and win the round. Other driver red-lit. Must have been super focused on the tree to not notice the other car DEEEEEEEP staged....neither driver was any sort of rookie.

Uh, wouldn't the starter not have activated the tree?

Be honest, how mad would you be if the starter did that when you were the one properly staged, licking your chops watching that happen?

TSI Autostart, all he can do is stop the tree if there's a safety issue.
Beside that,
It is not track personnel's mission to interfere in the race. If a guy wants to stage with his rear tires in competition, more power to him I guess.
Our starter would only halt things if he saw a dial in wrong, or a safety violation, BEFORE any lamps are lit.
THERE IS NO RULE that says you can't stage with the rears. Verified by Glendora tech, believe me, we puzzled on it for a bit.

In my opinion the bigger dummy was the guy who redlights when he's got a loser sitting there next to him. ? Laughing Hard
