ssmithJegs digital tire pressure gauge
Has anyone had problems with this gauge? I've had 2 gauges within 4 months that will show a pressure with it not being on a valve stem. I have tried 2 new batteries and still the issue exists.
Anyone else had this problem?

CH.CRAFTI HAVE ONE THAT IS FIVE YEARS OLD AND HAS WORKED GOOD EXCEPT IT IS CONSISTANTLY 2TENTHS OF A LB LOW. IT WILL DO WHAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING IF I LEAVE IT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. I HAVE HEARD OTHERS SAY THAT THEY ARE JUNK AND HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH IT.

Lenny5160A recent pit neighbor had this problem. He borrowed my analog gauge and his digital was reading the same as mine when put on the tire.

Rob7181Had three fail in a little over a year. Got a credit for a full refund and used that to buy a digital Intercomp. That was over 10 years ago and have not looked back!

ssmithThanks for the replies everybody. I've always thought I knew how to take care of a tire gauge. Haha I guess I'll be spending a few extra dollars and getting the intercomp gauge. They seem to be reliable.

DARTSPORTI have been using a Snap-on Digital gauge that I bought sometime around 1990. Still works great. I bought an extra gauge from Snap-on in 2005, just to have a spare. Now they are no longer available. Registers to a tenth of a pound. They measure .1 of a pound different.
