I have a half filled 454 block I was thing about putting in my streetcar that may see real street driving what's the worst that could happen.

A GREE HIUGH TEMP ONLY ISSUE
I WOULD RUN HEAVY COOLING SYSTEM PLUS A OIL COOLER. should BE fine if control the heat. Been told bbc not happy till 210 anyway. SRY caps button

Oil would be a tick warmer but the filler would move making the block out of round warm.,you could run an oil cooler??
If you do this , make sure you seal the top of the filler with an epoxy. Trust me…
Hard block or Embecco 885?
Mine are filled to .250 above the water pump holes.

I think I'm saying the same thing as BP758.
I bought used turn key car sat with antifreeze that was half filled.
It could of had other additves added as well.
It attacked the filler. I'm not sure what was for filling the block.
Clogged the radiator and was very gritty.
I did the same by sealing with two part epoxy.

Thanks for the responses I think I will try with the addition of an oil cooler.

not sure of filler type brought it this way and used it a little just wanting to use it more and I have some people tell me it would get to hot but the little time I did use ir never had a problem
