It's been awhile ago. A bracket racer in a dragster intentionally swerved toward (into?) the other racer's lane, after the finishline. He was mad about losing or something. It was big deal, at the time, and some sort of suspension was made. Take care. I don't remember but I'm curious why you're bringing it up. Was there another same or similar incident? 2BKING 1980 Camaro Taking the Best Working Small Tire Shyt Box & making it Greater Than Before! 3000 lbs. Pump Gas 436

It's because I was watching an event online and thought it might be one of the late round participants. Take care. Tom Worthington If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I still think he should have been banned for life. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Does anybody now exactly what ever came of all this? Did the crashed into guy get paid for the damage....is the other kid still racing? Did he ever get a bloody nose for it? Just curious...... . Dave F J B

The person he hit was paid for damages. I talked to the driver hit the day after and he said he apologized and paid for everything. The driver served a suspension, I believe 1 year. Also had to take anger management classes I believe. Both drivers are still racingThis message has been edited. Last edited by: racerdude2054,

If he apologized and paid for everything that helps some. I fully realize when you are on the track it is at your own risk and you accept responsibility for your car, but if someone INTENTIONALLY hits you that is a whole different story. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Said kid has more than tried to make up for his "sins". We all have skeletons in the closet, lets not keep bringing them up. Jeremiah Hall

I asked about it because I never heard what the final outcome was...And he should have done more than expected to make up for trying to wreck the guy in the other lane.....it wasn't a "sin"....it was road rage on the damn racetrack . Dave F J B

I gotta agree with Dave - swerving intentionally into another car is WAY out of line. Not the same thing at all as losing your cool and running your mouth, etc. I've certainly done stupid before, but never damaged other people's property or safety. JMHO Mike

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but a dumbass mistake was made, said person fixed the other persons stuff, and paid the price by not being able to race at ANY nhra track for 1 year, AND had to do anger management. I personally have spoke about the situation with the driver, and called him a dumbass to his face. The kid knows he fukked up and made right by it. In my opinion its over. Look, i aint trying to defend the kids actions, but I will say this, knowing the story like i do. I feel the kid should have waited until the ticket booth, got out of the car, and had a "discussion" with the other driver.......but im sure that would still be talked about too. Jeremiah Hall

I don’t think a fight would be talked about the way as intentionally hitting someone’s car. At least not by me. The only details I got (and I was there) is that the other driver revved his engine in the shutdown area after winning. If that gets you so fired up you want to wreck someone or fight them then I would say they anger too easily. Now there are two sides to every story, but the side I got was that Hunter tried to time Trey out by turning his wheels to light the stage bulb on and off. Trey then revved his engine in the shutdown area I agree that Hunter has made things right to the best of his ability and that’s that, I disagree that a fight would be as frowned upon as purposely driving into someone’s lane and hitting them

If the guy is the type that plays starting line games I have NO sympathy for him at all.....And the fact he got pissed about getting "womped" up at the topend is wonderful!! I am glad he paid for his fuc-up....we all make mistakes, it's how we make up for them is what matters... . Dave F J B

You are exactly right, it will be going forward, that will show if his character truly has improved. So far, he is doing good. Jeremiah Hall
