As everyone knows the rumor mill in anything much less drag racing can be very believable to "if you believe that I got some oceanfront property in PA id like to sell you"..but I heard a rumor through a friend of a friend that he heard or knew that NHRA was being bought at the end of year and major! changes! were coming a lot to possibly help the sportsman competitors, does anybody know any truth to that or have any informantion towards it?

Why? You can sell a non profit organization. You just have to work out some different details.
But I'll believe that NHRA is for sale when it's posted on their website.

Larry is right. I don't think that Soloman bunch that first bought Moroso then IHRA will be back to the motor sports arena any time soon. They packaged that mess up found an investor, grabbed the money and hit the road....buy NHRA NahNahTounge

Bruton Smith was interested at one time. That's just pocket change for him.

The not for profit tax status may be his biggest benefit. The tax savings of running Speedway Mortosports under the NHRA banner could very well make up for the cost of the purchase in very short order.

Most major sports organizations including NFL and MLB are also not for profit non tax paying organizations.
