Looks like a very well thought out facility being built on the east side of KC.
Well worth the 20 minutes to watch

That's cool. I'm looking forward to going. Hopefully they will have a Divisional next year.

Finally, good news about a track. We've had over 20 close nationwide just this year. Anybody here had one locally shut down that effected them?

The project is fantastic and is a very positive racing venue. This could create other like facilities. I especially like the staging in front of the stands, that's a great idea.

Man, that is going to be one nice track, wish it was closer to the east coast. I was surprised though that they are going to use PortaTree for the timing system. I didn't realize they had done National Event tracks before?

Texas Motorplex switched to a Porta tree system a few years back. They just got tired or the constant issues with the old dos based compulink system and Brockmeyers crap.

I have often thought that tracks could make a buck by renting access to electricity. Our local track has electric running to paid pit spots and it's pretty popular.

It IS Kurt Johnson. He used to work for NHRA. He`s the one John Force shoved during the heated altercation with Tony Pedregon at Indy years ago.
Used to hang out with him decades ago. Good to see him still at it!
