Man the price of new trailers sure has pushed up the asking prices of used trailers. I’m seeing 5 year old 53’ bathroom packages listed over $60k. Damn that’s a lot of hotel stays!

Research shows very little raw aluminum or steel is imported from China. I know all the raw product we receive is domestic manufactured material. Believe it or not, we still produce a lot of raw material and import the most from Canada.
You might check steel imports from Japan. Before I retired 25 years ago 90% of the sheets, tubing, etc came from off shore. One time way back congress put a tariff on steel and a sheet of stainless doubled. Try working around that on a job bid 3 years before. My 1999 32ft Pace cost $13,000 new. Whats it worth today?

All steel imports were hit with a 25% tariff in 2018
You need to consider most trailers are built in Indiana and have to be where you live. I know it cost us 2500 to get our 38' goosneck here from Vintage. When we sold it we got the purchase perce but not the transport cost

I am pretty sure I could have picked it up for lot less.Hell Cali only 3300 fron here so 6600 miles at avg of ten mpg 660 gallons at 3 per and save 700 bucks. That is crossing the whole country. Guess just how I would do it anyway.

What’s he haul in that? We have two dragsters and a golf cart. It currently takes up 33’ everything on the floor. I like that trailer but I don’t think I can get all my stuff in it.

I have been limiting myself to lq trailers with 30 plus foot garages. They are not all that common. But two dragsters and a golf cart with seat are a little challenging
