Lincoln2010? Moved from Indy to Muncie last minute. It wasn’t because of storm damage though.

DragRaceResults2001 was the 6th annual in Atlanta. Pretty sure it was only there 1 year and then went to Memphis.

Promoters were promised that NHRA tech would not be an issue by the then track manager, story changed WHEN THE GATE OPENED.
Division NHRA personnel showed up to perform chassis certs and licensing and that went over like a turd in the punch bowl.
Bru-ha-ha, hate, and discontent ensued, event went 70 miles up I-69 to Muncie.

ferndaleflyerWhich million are we talking about here? In 2000 I raced at Rockingham in a George Howard-Steve Earwood collaboration Called the "Millennium Million". If I remember right the next year it was called the B&M Million and was held at Huntsville, AL. We got lots of millions now days but has any of them ever paid a million?

Clay TylerThere have been 3 races that paid the guarantee million, 1.1 million SFG in 2020 to Steve Sisko, 2020 GABR guarantee million to Jeff Serra, and 2021 GABR guarantee million to Tyler Bohanon.

This was the "O G" Million, after George Howard and B & M but before the Folks.
Might have been Fuqua and Szerlag?

Blame for the fiasco falls on the track manager, in my opinion. I liked the dude, he was good for our weekly bracket deals. I wouldn't say he was shady, but he was playing fast and loose with the facility, and fell into disfavor with the NHRA shirts. He came to Indy from Gateway.
None has ever reached the Million for winner purse.
Used to be advertised that 500 entries would do it, but it's more now.
They were closer than ever in 2025.

GoobDeals like that were how the "alternative sanction" options got started.
Indy was always a severely underutilized facility, because of the NHRA ownership, and being a "not for profit". They can afford to let it sit idle.
