DRR Trophy |
After taking almost 2 months off from Competition to allow the NHRA National & Divisional series to warm up the Mid Atlantic .90 Series will get things back up & running at Atco Dragway for the 10th Annual Sportsman Circuit Shootout on June 23rd & 24th. This event replaces the one that was to be held at Maple Grove Raceway on May 19th & 20th after some changes at the track forced a cancellation. With help from VP Racing Fuel / Roadrunning Racing Fuels & Direct Cabinet Sales as the title right sponsors and many other associate sponsors the series offers up a Guaranteed $1,000 to the winner no matter the car counts as long as you are a member of the .90 series (28 or more cars per class, ups the purse). If you want more info on the payouts and how to become a member just e-mail Rob at Rekeister@aol.com. With Race # 1 & 2 completed Randy Winfelder Jr. (SC), Nick Olt (SG) and Keith Mayers (SST) are your points leaders going into Race # 3 & 4 but the season is still young and wide open. Gates open at 4:30pm on Friday June 22nd with Test & Tune and Parking: (Weather Permitting) *It's $25.00 for T&T on Friday Night & $10.00 for spectators. Gates will be open till around 12pm or when the bar closes Saturday June 23rd - Gates Open at 7:30-8am Gate Fee: $30.00 plus $15.00 Crew per day - pay per day .90 Fee: $80.00 per day - Look for the .90 Trailer, Tent & Banner Membership: $75.00 - Guarantees a $1,000 or more to the winners per race as long as your a member and sticker is on the car. (One time Yearly Fee) We will run Q1 around 9:30-10am. They have an action packed Saturday so when you're called please come up to the lanes. Tech will be over at the tech shack (Not in the Lanes) near the bar so bring all your stuff and make sure it's all in proper dates. Radio Station is 89.7 FM. Juniors will probably be out first as they have a points race that day then maybe the Footbrake & Doorslammer series then us for Q1. So we have some time in between runs this time around before Q2. First round is on a ladder and higher qualified gets lane choice. Racers BBQ: We will be doing Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches that night so if anyone wants to bring a side please let me know. Sunday, June 24th - Gates Open at 7:30-8am Same Costs as Saturday We will run Q1 around 9:30 - 10am as all they have pretty much the same program as Saturday minus the Doorslammer race. So Juniors will be out first, Junior Street & HS Challenge, Footbrake and us for Q1. This will be a 1 and go race due to the amount of stuff going on at the track as they also have a bracket race that day also so be prepared for 1 time run and into first round!! So technically 4 races or 5 for one tow that weekend if you want to beat up your stuff!!
