Source - https://setexasrecord.com/ Former VP Racing Fuels manager claims owner orchestrated hazing, other dangerous activity at company events AUSTIN — A former VP Racing Fuels manager claims the company owner/president placed employees in dangerous situations such as hazing at company meetings and outings and that he was fired for not signing liability release. Marc Wesler filed a complaint Feb. 17 in the U.S. District for the Western District of Texas Austin Division against VP Racing Fuels LLC alleging breach of duty to provide safe working environment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. Wesler, a 13-year motorsports industry veteran, began working for VP on July 16, 2015 as a regional manager. He alleges that VP owner and president Alan Cerwick often placed employees in "dangerous working environments" at company outings and trips including hazing and doing activities while drinking large quantities of alcohol. In October of 2019, he claims he refused to sign a "notification and release of liability" for a Las Vegas company meeting and was fired in retaliation. Wesler seeks monetary relief, a release from his non-compete agreement with VP and all other just relief. He is represented by David Clouston and Leslye Moseley of Sessions Fishman Nathan & Israel LLP in Dallas.
