Where is everyone going to see where races are happening. The parts of this forum for that are stagnant and far from updated.

I checked out staging light and nothing is showing except in MS and FL. Hard to believe there is nothing a little further north..

I am following this with interest. Most of my race info now comes from friends or by searching individual track schedules.

I hear ya, I don't use Face anything and I
usually hear about races once there done.

There's a racer, Lorenzo Martin, who does a lot of FB and social media for North Carolina based bracket racing. FB name is, North Carolina Bracket Racing. He typically posts what tracks have races in the region on any given weekend. Usually a week or two of track info on as many NC tracks he can find. Don't think I've seen him post any yearly schedules, just what's coming up over the next few weeks. . Also does live feeds and race coverage when he's not racing. Don't know if anyone does this for other regions/states.

I’m not traveling far from home to race and mainly use track Facebook sites and racer friends’ posts to see who is headed where.

2026 plans.

I'll probably attend one, possibly two LODRS events in 2026 but other than that I'm not traveling far from home to race, or even watch. Far for me is a (one way) 300 + tow considering the nearly $5.00 per gallon price of fuel in California.

This has gotten way too expensive. When I add up everything it amounts to far more than I can afford, God Bless those who can. Mainly the travel time and cost exceeds what I'm willing, or capable of spending. $1,000 + dollar to possibly win what, $1,800 ?? weekends may fit someone's budget and logic, just not mine.

Before you try, don't get me started on NHRA's Contingency Award Program. I can't dedicate two months of calling and chasing Manufacturer's trying to collect the award money.

Local Bracket Racing is far more rational and affordable.

NHRA's scheduling is the second concern. Someone please explain to me why in the World would anyone, with even half a brain schedule a race at Bakersfield (275 miles from here) in the middle of September? The last time I was in Bakersfield in September it was 116 degrees. I do this for fun, that certainly ain't fun!

I have a couple of suggestions. Las Vegas is 340 miles approx. We have two separate multiple day 1/8th mile bracket races. The Spring Fling Million the beginning of Apr. & the Thanksgiving Bracket Nationals the end of Nov. The Spring Fling is a great time to be racing weather wise. The Thanksgiving races are on the cooler side but are manageable.

You could also think about racing the points at Barona & qualifying for the bracket finals. Multiple races, decent money paid out & reasonable entry fee!

What do you have to do to qualify for one of the high dollar bracket races at Vegas? Are these connected to the Spring Fling Series?

Bob, maybe you ought to sell your house and move to Kentucky or Tennessee, I think you know a guy plus lots of race tracks within a very short drive

You don't have to qualify for the Spring Fling Races. The (3) 30K races are the basic package deal for $690 entry, I think that's reasonable! The big day is somewhat a hearty entry fee of 2K, I think it paid 450K in 2025 & probably split up. There's also a couple of bonus races you can enter also.

As for the Thanksgiving Nationals no qualifying. $400 entry for 4 separate races paying 5K for the win ea. There's also a couple of bonus races you can enter also.
