LOCKED-IN Drag Racing Series @ Famoso Dragstrip
Has anybody out West raced the LOCKED-IN Drag Racing Series @ Famoso Dragstrip?

I was thinking about entering, but it seems liked a quirky kind of event. I wanted to run the 5.80 index & the No-Box class. It's a $250 tech card per class, then a $100 buy-in per class. The payout for the index class is $1k & payout is based on car count for No-Box. That seems like a stupid amount of money for little amount of guaranteed money in one class & no guaranteed money in the other class.

If you want to pay $300 to race for $500 just wait for Muscle cars at the strip.

I'm not in a bad mood, I just look that way.........

If a promoter can't figure out a non-gouging class entry fee to payout. They probably can't figure out how to run an organized race. I want no part of getting F...ed or a total cluster F....!

I'm looking for a place to race that weekend & the only thing I found somewhat suitable was Barona. I just don't know if I want to deal with the limited pit parking. I'm 62' long & I know there's longer, pit parking doesn't go far with the rigs these days. We are definitely spoiled with our parking in Vegas.
