NOT POLITICAL -- 3.28 MILLION Unemployed

I have to ask, "did you read the Politico piece you linked"?

If you did you will realize the "gains" are only recovery level gains, not NET gains. Net gains are what indicate a GROWING economy. Recovery gains are what occurs after an economy tanks, you know, getting back to even again. It will look like a V shaped recover on a chart when compared to the numbers while at the depths of the decline. NET gains are what happens when an economy is growing...

If getting back to EVEN is the measure of success you're willing to celebrate then so be it...

Real growth (net gains) would be most financial experts reason to celebrate...

I sure hope you're right. Few would argue we have a credit crises in this country. I'll forgo the potential pit falls of corporate debt and govt. debt, with their printing of trillions of free dollars. That leaves personal debt. Unemployment is good for 6 months minimum. Hussein extended it for a year, maybe more can't recall for certain. So if need be, I would expect Trump to do the same or more to protect "his" economy. Also it takes about 6 mo. to execute an eviction, or so I'm told. Therefore there is a built in buffer before the other shoe drops so to speak. Before mortgages and rent foreclosures/evictions commence. I am not forecasting or prognosticating, just thinking out loud of a possible scenario.

After the economic nightmare this crap brought us, and the many forecasts for a very long-term, bleak economy, I would be willing to celebrate "getting back to even". I don't think we get there this year, but compared to where the major economists predicted we would be, I would consider that to be remarkable. And I agree with Trans Lady, the Dems are/were planning on having that one tool, (a poor economy), to try and leverage come November. I don't know that they have any other weapons in their arsenal, (other than the extreme bias of 95% of the media outlets across the country).

That's why the dim controlled NY and Cali are fighting so hard to keep them locked down as long as possible. Those two states represent such a large percentage of the GDP. They would gladly throw their state citizens under the bus to achieve a party victory. If achieved you can bet they would be richly rewarded by Pelosi and her band of thugs.

One always hears accolades about our forefathers, but the electoral college was a stunning example of foresight. I guess they could even see the decay in big cities way back then and on such a smaller scale. Again, amazing.

When the jobs report came out Yesterday they were thinking we could LOSE 8 to 9 MILLION jobs yet we actually GAINED 2.5 million. Shocker for sure. Trump was pleased with those numbers as he should be and said it is a step in right direction but still have far to go.

Biden gets on TV and said Trump did not do that and he was wrong for trying to take a victory lap for something he did not do. Biden and later Shumer were trying to act like the Economy is turning around because of Biden and Trump is trying to take credit for Biden's success. Then Biden says later in same speech that we still have millions out of work and it will take a while to get back to normal. Duh!

Biden and Trump are both right that we still have too many out of work and it will take a while to get back to normal.

Biden is absolutely wrong that Trump did not have anything to do with come back and Biden sure does not have anything to do with it.

This is a good reason to shrink government. I mean why have a Federal Bureau of Employment when they're not actually tallying employment statistics but apparently a propaganda arm of the masterminds behind the fake pandemic which cost America 60 million jobs?

Are we really supposed to believe according to the Federal Bureau of Employment report that between May 10 - 16, when the USA was mostly on lock down, turned out to be the time when the most small business's were created in the history of America?

Good reason to shrink government , if they're only paid to insult intelligence.

I hope everyone understands this is only gonna get worse.

Not exactly true. There may have been 30 million jobs lost and some people are starting to come back from Layoff. I doubt many if any "New Jobs" are Created. You did have many businesses that laid off people and shut down for a while and they are starting to come back. Now I do not know how long it will take to get most back and it may take a very long time to get all back. In fact I think many businesses are gone for ever. Do not like that but that is the way it is. I believe the whole Corona deal was blown out of proportion and used as a tool to hurt the Trump and the Economy.
2.5 million jobs is a good start and I hope it continues to grow and get better.

More good news..

U.S. May retail sales surge 17.7% in the biggest monthly jump ever

Retail sales shattered already-lofty expectations for May as consumers freed from the coronavirus-induced lockdowns began shopping again.

The 17.7% headline gain including food sales easily topped the previous record from October 2001 and beat the 8% estimate from economists surveyed by Dow Jones.

Retail sales alone powered 16.8% higher from a month ago, more than double the estimate of 8% from Dow Jones and reversing a 16.4% plunge from a month ago. Clothing and accessories stores reported the biggest percentage gain at 188% while sporting goods, hobby, musical instruments and book stores rose 88.2%.

The numbers added to an upbeat mood on Wall Street, with Dow futures most recently pointing to an opening gain of more than 900 points.

That's the biggest smoke and mirrors act there is! Anybody that believes that is a positive sign is delusional. Let the Fed stop printing free money (let's be honest it authorized counterfeiting) for 1 minute and the market will collapse!!! Consider the following:

"Then last week the Fed double reneged when it announced that it would start purchasing $60 billion a month in securities from the open market."

Wall street is completely detached from main street. We no long have a free market. The game is rigged and let there be no doubt, it's a house of cards.

Man, we just need more people who'll speak the Truth Canted Valve, it'll feel like America again.

I really thought we had a chance when Trump was running for President the first go around. Trump was laying down the Truth.

" Big fat ugly bubble economy, if you raise the rates it'll collapse, the fed is doing political things" Trump said which was the Truth

Fast forward three years later Trump is crying for the same Obama-nomics quantitative easing zero percent interest rates, money printing to infinity banker bailouts socialism, this is the greatest economy in the history, same claim as Obama.

America doesn't need cheerleaders presidents, America needs a president with the sack to bring bottom up revolution, do away the patriot act, unlawful surveilence of its citizens, as Trump indicated he would originally.

In other words bring back the rule of law. It's not the rule of law if the rule of law only apply's to people.

It's tyranny.

This is what America's prevailing culture looks like today lead by the fake news.

Payroll numbers up 2.37 million in June.
But the crazy number is May, going from an initially reported loss of 2.76 million to a gain of 3.065 million.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/0...rolls-june-2020.html

Also, manufacturing higher than expected in June.

The Institute for Supply Management’s index of manufacturing activity jumped 9.5 percentage points to 52.6 in June. The gauge of new orders rose 24.6 points to 56.4, the largest ever monthly increase. The production component of the index also rose by more than 24 points to 57.3.

Yeah.
You and I get it BUT the masses have no clue and really don't care.

They want us all to get along, hold hands and sing Kum-ba-yah and live off the system (be a system sucker and have the government -- you and I -- pay for everything for them).

We can all NOT WORK and paint racist stuff on the streets but then say we AREN'T RACIST.
HMMM, How does that work.

GREAT job Mr. President with the falling unemployment numbers.
