I appreciate the post, Vern, and all who respond!

Of all the types of “bracket racing” I’ve tried, Super Comp definitely frustrated me the longest. There’s just something different about it, even compared to Super Street.

Thanks again and it was great seeing you again!

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Thanks again, guys!

The mountain is definitely a challenge. I asked a couple guys what they do compared to at home, and the standard response seemed to be “add 2 degrees of timing and go down 4 jet sizes.” So I did that, although with Ron’s Injection I went 4 sizes leaner with the pill.

The car wouldn’t go on the chip or reach the shift point on my first time run. After a panic call to James Monroe, (I didn’t have any smaller nozzle jets as he recommended) he suggested to try going much leaner with the pill to see if it would go on the converter cleanly. I ended up 20 sizes leaner than what I run at home but it obviously worked. Thank you to James for that!

Also, when I got there my tires were all over-inflated due to lack of atmospheric pressure and during the weekend a liquid-filled gauge blew open and spewed oil all over the car from the same phenomenon. On the way home, the tires deflated which essentially untied the car and the center support stand fell out of place. No further damages that I’m aware of.

And my little Yamaha generators kept randomly shutting off or going into overload mode.

It was a long drive and big hassle, but I’ll probably need to keep going back now. It is an absolutely phenomenal facility, and beautiful place.

Tony,

I always change converter to go up there but I don’t have a ton of power. Also, I would have to open the throttle blades about .004 on the Terminator so it would idle right.

On your generator I would try some Lucas ethanol additive. We used to foul a plug up there till we started using it.

And to do it at Bandimere has got to be particularly challenging! Congratulations!
