| You still have to use your side mirrors! Saw a Co worker rely on the back up camera to back up into a driveway. Dented and scratched his truck with only 4,000 miles on it. Rubbed against a brick light stand in the driveway. Just letting you know. |

Does anyone have suggestions?

| No worries. We love the Equinox. It's bigger than a Civic or Elantra, which I see a lot of kids in. We felt a little bigger was a little safer. Ours gets great mileage and has a lot of leg room. My wife is 6'2" and my daughter is 6'1", so that was important. Be careful with some of the earlier year models (2010, 2011, and some 2012) with the 4 cylinder engines. They were known to have an oil consumption problem and have a recall out and will re-ring the motors, if needed. Ours is a 2012 and we have not seen the problem, but it only has 80k on it.

| Is he getting it for a young driver? The best thing we did for our daughter is the "Life 360" app. It is great for tracking her speed, whereabouts, if she uses her phone while driving, rapid accelerations, and hard braking.
