Got a hot tip yesterday that the Mullis Race Cars brand will be returning late this year with a new owner and location. Long known for building some of the nicest and smoothest cars out there, this may be a welcome as the "new" dragster market has a considerable back log for new builds. Stay tuned...

good luck half the builders never called me back and the other half now talking august/ september finish date...now add to trouble getting tubing and parts to the mix and may take even longer!

I know. I am not in a hurry but have been looking at some different options. I am anxious to find out who is taking over.

Brian is no longer involved. He remains happy with his current job in Florida. The new owners will be very capable from what I see. More news to come as things are currently being finalized from what I understand.

Good luck to the new owners. I hope they don't have trouble finding tubing. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

I'm not a dragster car--I know Mullis always a great reputation. Is there anything specific that made his cars smoother than others?

Someone in Mullis who hasn't driven a Ray Miller yet, possibly? I know plenty of people who've driven both, they were both built originally, within an hour of the house. I went 4.67 in a Ray Miller 15 years ago. Pretty smooth.

I run a crazy busy shop and if i cant get to a customer i still return their call and text, explain my situation and give them the option of waiting or going somewhere else. Its just good business sense.

there's no ossue getting tubing in California, I just got a couple thousand feet with absolutely no issue. If I can get it in California there can't be an issue in any other state lol .991 60' 4.36 @ 159 so far..... 6.86 @ 198 trying for more...... 533" single carb 235" Harrison 4-link

Will, I thought the same thing until I called my supplier this week to order some tubing. I have never had an answer other than the price and ask if I want it delivered or if i’m picking it up until this week. I was told they were a week and a half out. I guess we’ll see how accurate that is. The Pull-Out....for when you want to work smarter, not harder!!!

Steel, especially 1/2" and 5/8" Cold Roll is about two to three weeks out and it has never been over a day before. The thick wall 3" square tubing we use has doubled in price in four weeks and we tried several other suppliers, same thing. Why is that? Any ideas? Going to cost a lot more to make things from good steel, that is for sure.

Mullis announced yesterday that it would be G&J Perfomance Fabricators along with help from Brian Forrester would be building the new cars. It doesn't say the extent of Brian's help.
