What NHRA needs.
There is a new Sportsbook that opened at the River's Casino in Illinois. You can bet on the Nascar races.
If you could bet on NHRA races, the popularity of the sport would rise considerably.

Bubba Wallace is +15,000.lol

I always thought they should set up a covered area by the starting line. Have chairs, tables, waitresses, a few big screen TV's.
Drag racing is amazing, but there are a lot of people that don't want to sit in the sun all day to watch it.

Nhra needs several things, couple obvious things, NIGHT TIME QUALIFYING, need 18-20 week season, DRAIN SOME OF THE SWAMP, get rid of the quotas, when a grade 3 or 4 can’t get in a race, that’s a flawed system, I guarantee Nhra has more quitting/leaving/retiring racers than newcomers. Whoever is calling the shots, has no F ing clue about racing of any sort.

If they want more spectators, they need more out of control runs...like the ones that are drawing those big starting line crowds at the "grudge races", etc. Not my own cup of tea, but if you wanna draw crowds... Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

As much as I hate that its fact. Tom is dead on.People love to see perfectly good equipment torn all to he11. I have always believed that was a big part of the whole Nascar love affair.

Go to any small tire race tons of people who love a run where car is almost toren up ar totally torn up. IMO BS but its true.

Like all the other business's going bankrupt, NHRA needs some customers with discretionary money in their pockets.

Unfortunately for NHRA and all the other countless business's filing for bankruptcy, discretionary money customers are gonna be hard to find now that our elected officials have allowed our economy offshored to china.

I can remember being at the Gators in 1990's and there were 43 pro stockers, 23 Top Fuel, 27 Top Fuel Funny cars.

They'd run a Pro session on Thursday every year $10 bucks to get in. We'd go up to see which no name guy could get it done. Blaine Johnson came out of no where with some rickety looking equipment to begin with. Cory Mac too.

On Thursday back then, NHRA would get a modern day Saturday crowd size.

Throwing money at it won't fix it. The American people as a whole are too worried about how they're gonna pay their light bill, to even turn the race on the boob tube.

Giant sucking sound Ross Perot warned of, is on us.

Betting makes everything more fun. Plus, you can charge $50 a head at the gate when people think they're gonna roll in and make that back on a single side bet.

Columbus Stock Eliminator has over 128 cars this weekend, but I was amazed to see how many racers are in their 70s. I hope to still be active at that age, but what NHRA needs is more young blood. They rely on institutional knowledge to get new racers involved, instead of being proactive about it, for class racing anyway. They completely missed the boat on the import scene, and an opportunity to market domestic vs import racing. They currently list only two singular years of Honda classifications for stock eliminator. Hate them or love them, you need to market to the masses.
