I have noticed that we are gaining either new members or members who have lurked but not posted much or ever before.

I know what most will believe to be the reason for it but a bash fest isn't why I started this discussion. I'm just happy to see new people coming in it makes things more interesting.

Curtis

I hope that the dozens who have left for one reason or another come back. I would like to see it how it used to be where you could ask simple maybe stupid questions with out getting blasted.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Obviously I missed a recent development. After all the crazy stuff that happened in the past that failed to result in change, I can only imagine what wacky turn of events finally triggered the change.

I am certainly more likely to post "now". Especially in the tech area. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

It's good to see acceptance with like minded people. Sometimes, a newbie is deemed not worthy without sufficient post. As if the regulars owned the forum. Again good to see the new blood and old participation.
