| Don't think Fontana will be hurt by it. Doubt if they get much money from auto club as well as Bakersfield. Force will be hurt the most. Probably north of 2 million bucks.

| So Fontana isn't closing down? Everybody is speculating it's going to be a big rig parking lot.

| I doubt they will close. The dragstrip has been in the black since they opened in the current location. Money talks!

| Hey Bob, I'll try to get by there this afternoon. I just sent a message to a buddy who races there and he just replied he hadn't heard anything like that. |

The Fontana (Auto Club Dragway web site) just says they are closed, it didn't mention if they will re-open. Tickets to the NASCAR event have been transferred to other events, not a good sign.

Bob, I went by the track. Everything is still in place. The truck and trailer lot starts south of the road by the pits. Only ups tractors and lot's of Swift and other trailers. I didn't see any Amazon. |

I have a good idea of the numbers but they may be off a little. Local track in Denton was profitable for many years and they sold out and closed down. Pretty good track and very popular. Now the track as a race track was probably worth 1.5 million yet it sold for around 6 million and shut down. Why? Well the location and railroad close by. The land became much more valuable as a warehouse etc. So do not think just because a track is making money that it can not sell. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/"Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion |
