I never met Mr Richardson, but he seems way too young to succumb to COVID. Did he have other health issues? I'm 61 and I've had COVID at least twice - was no worse than a mild cold either time. If he was otherwise healthy, this is really scary. Mike | |||

This is so sad to hear. I meet Scotty in 1992 at Frank Hayley’s Reaction time Clinic at Gainesville. He was a special guest of Frank’s and helped many of us in this small class of 12? or so. Of course, he was 22 at the time and already a legend. I saw him a few other times at IHRA or Big $ races in the SE. always incredible friendly. The last time I saw Scotty was at the IHRA NitroJam race in 2015. E3 I’m 19 to his 13 and I just got luck and ran closer to my dial. He was so gracious in the L. As I went by him, on the way back to my pit spot, he gestured with a bow and wave. Hard to forget his kindness for a nobody local bumpkin local racer like me.
