I've been wearing Keen boots for several years now. Most comfortable and best boot I've ever worn for work. Also have their hiking boots, also best ever. In my opinion, quality footwear has no limit. I'll gladly continue to pay whatever it costs for the Keen boots. I learned a long time ago in the Marines that going cheap on boots can hurt you more than you think.....

Been wearing Timberland work boots everyday M-F for the past 38 years. Started with and wore the original 6" waterproof, non insulated, soft toe work boot.

Then in the early 2000s, I switch to the "PRO" waterproof and insulated 6" Soft Toe work boot.

About 4 years ago I switched to the "PRO" Helix HD waterproof and insulated 6" work boot with composite toe. These work boots are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn and I plan to finish my career in this work boot.

I like my Thorogood made in USA boot with composite toe so I don’t have to take off to go through metal detectors at work.

Are any of those boots snake proof? A lot of people around my area wear Ariat. I should have asked about them.

Been wearing Timberland Pros with the composite toe for a lot of years. The ones I buy are different than the style he tested though. Very comfortable for work boots.

Mine are snake proof simply because they are going to walk me away from any area with snakes. LOL

I switched from Timberland about 4 years ago to the Wolverine Romeo slip on.

I buy a new pair each year but am still on the first pair I bought. Strangely enough, they don’t even smell inside. I only wear them when out of the country in a mfg plant (which is very very often), but they are holding up well.

I didn’t think I would like a slip on but absolutely love these. The even fit the “business casual” dress that I follow.

Knee high are snake proof... sort of.. I like Timberline. My son killed 18 Rattlers last year. I’m talking big SOB! I shot four of them. Funny story-now it is... they had a bbq , it was late and out by their horse barns and trailers. It was late, I had to take a leak and walked between two trailers and start to wizz. I heard the high speed sprinkler take off! Then I heard my son yell; don’t move... yeah no s h I t ! So the snake was either pis s ed on or jealous? Yeah I know, wizzed on ! Kid has his 4/10 and a light.. big sob three /four feet away an he’s p I SS Ed ! Needless to say I could not wizz as I was puckered! Laughing Hard Pushed him away from trailers and dose of lead. I’m 6 miles from him and never see a rattler here. Lots of king/ gophers snakes though.

They have Rattlesnake clubs and round up days at a few towns here in Oklahoma. I will stay out of those towns. Snakes don’t really bother me too much where I am but we don’t have those rattlers. Just Copperheads and Moccasins.

Here in sunny south Florida we deal with the following poisonous snakes, Coral, Copperhead, Cottonmouth (Water Moccasin), Pygmy Rattler, Timber back and the Eastern Diamond back. And if that isn't enough we now have to deal with Pythons. BTW, I was bite by a Pygmy many years ago, nasty little b a s t a r d. Welcome to Florida.

I had low top Knapp work shoes. No better for hours on your feet and OSHA approved. Too bad they went out of business.
