double troubleWorst....possible...place!
Ever been there? there's not enough pit space on pavement to park any sportsman cars. The rest of the pits are super dusty gravel.
Unless the Motorplex does some major paving repair/replacment this will be the worst All Stars race ever held, as well as adding cars to a confusing social media nightmare of a week of filling and emptying the paved pits every day with specialty races, concerts, bull riding, lantern festival, etc.
I have worked this Stampede of Speed twice and it's a pit situation that is the worst I've seen.
My condolences to the All Stars racers.

Big SteveYep it will suck for the All Star racers to travel long distances to park in the dirt and rocks at the dustplex.
The track spent a bunch of money to make the place look all nice and pretty for the TV cameras, the track surface is as good as it gets when prepped correctly but the pits are a chithole.
Time for Billy to do something for the racers

double troubleI don't think Billy Meyer has much to do the upkeep at the facility but I think his daughter has taken the reins. After some tourism grants they repaved the media and suite parking and patched a few spots on the return road and alcohol pits.
Now, the pro Stock and Pro Stock bike pits are shot and everything else that was pave has gone back to gravel. last national event I had Comp eliminator guys out in the gravel getting dusted out by the side by sides, 4WD cowboy trucks and fancy motor homes coming by all going too fast, while these Comp guys have the valve covers off after every pass checking springs, running valves and possibly much more repairs.
I understand that the only time much of these pits are used is for a National event mostly, so it doesn't pay to pave it. Maybe a solution would be to install at least some paved roads through the gravel areas so racers and spectators can get where they're going with less dust.

CrewManShould absolutely be Indy - with it being the US Nationals and the biggest show of the year. Kinda goes hand in hand with the prestige of the event and not to mention the amount of media / tv exposure.

Todd BartonIndy was horrible IMO for the Allstars, too much going on there and the finals were run so late the prestige was almost gone.
