I'm 50 now, always had excellent vision. First time I noticed something funny was about 4 years ago. I rolled into the water box for the first run after it got dark, when I looked up to check my dial in, green LED scoreboards (Holt Florida), I couldn't read my dial in..... Strange. It looked like a green blurry number and couldn't tell if it was an 8 or a 6. I have the same trouble now with red LED score boards at night. During the day I can see/read them fine, at night its blurry as hell. As far as judging the stripe goes, about the same challenge as reading score boards. Can't see things in the same resolution as i could. Mostly i judge closing rate, somewhat make my decision in my head, then look back at the stripe, and back at opponent then take action. Rarely hold any unless its dead on high the round before.

Am 65, took a few years of and my car is very broken. Driving my brother's 9 sec 1/8 mile car. I could say out of practice and lots of other stuff but .170 MOV to go .03 under is just stupidity. Opponent and her father chirped he'll out of me, deservedly so. Lol

Above is a similar technique I've been working on for a couple years; I'm always holding but not using his numbers for the 1/4 & 1/8. Scott/qtrrcr uses the above strategy very well & I consider him a very good racer. He takes his opponent out of the equation during his run except for blatant circumstances that might happen to his competitor. While I still consider myself pretty good at the top-end judging or games at 60+ years old. I started working on taking my opponent out of the equation; it's just another discipline I'm trying to learn! While I think this technique is easiest to learn when you are being chased. I don't have that option, because I'm chasing the majority of the time. This technique is starting to show its worth, but it took some time. I don't use it all the time & have certain situations where I will use it. 2BKING 1980 Camaro Taking the Best Working Small Tire Shyt Box & making it Greater Than Before! 3000 lbs. Pump Gas 436

For those of use over 65 we are in the wonder years. Wonder how good was my light at the hit. Wonder where that 170 mph car is. Wonder who took the stripe.

Lol, Don't look back. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion
