Here in SW Ohio - we have warmed to a -4 currently. Wind chill well into the high -20 low -30 range - wind has not stopped all day, or all night.

At one point last night as it rolled in hard around 9pm - the temperature difference between the Indiana / OH line and where we live (50 miles or so) was over 40 degrees. We went from 40ish to about 15 in the span of 20 minutes and with it you couldn't see chyt with the wind and snow

I'd say we probably got a good 3+ of snow but it is too hard to tell because it has blown everywhere. Roads are not good - snow covered / packed and icy - salt ain't doing chty - they have put some sand down to help. For folks that have lived here awhile - not a big deal - transplants - are figuring out you can't go 100mph. Black ice in spots.

Did some checking of the pipes this morning - all good so far - but we have shut off a couple just to be safe. When it gets this cold I don't care how well insulated your house is - air is going to creep in.

Stay safe! Stay warm!!!

Currently its -2 feels like -37 with 23mph wind gusts to 51mph luckly we live in about 100 acres of old growth timber so we are well shielded from too much wind from north plus ours is a log sided in and out with 2x6 frame-lots of insulation and Geo-thermal for heat so stay warm everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS

That sounds PERFECT! Too bad there's no bracket racing in California and it's an extreme blue state.

Its "GLOBAL WARMING" so get used to it. Joe said so. Plus all that hot air in Washington is spread around now since they are all out of there.
