The “experts and scientist” claim an average of 5 years for a vaccine, now they’ve miraculously got this one in a matter of months? It’s also not possible to sue the government or anyone for any type of injury from this particular vaccine and literally billions been paid out from other vaccine injuries but most of that is kept on the “down low” and dam near impossible to find and you’re most certainly a conspiracy theorist for even thinking so, but the big government has your best interest and finances in mind, right?
I’m really confused where or how you get on board with getting any vaccine for anything? There’s no cure for flu, common cold or many other viruses. THERE IS NO CURE ALL! There’s a lot of money for government and big pharma to make, from healthy people right? I guess good luck to those who it but I certainly WILL NOT EVER BE ON BOARD FOR ANY VACCINE.

50-60 vaccines for newborns? Really?

While the mRNA vaccine is new the technology isn’t. It started being developed over 10 years ago but was just recently okayed for human trials then for distribution.

Curly, you know you could look up the complete quote from Bill Gates and not just the Facebook version. I’m not necessarily a fan of his but that’s not exactly what he has said.

I’ll stand somewhat corrected on the number of vaccines for newborns, it’s about 30 or so and then they recommend continuing with a laundry list of vaccines for life.

If you were going to get an engine built you would primarily take advice from an engine builder or those with knowledge of engines and racers

If you are going to take or not take a vaccine would you not primarily take advice from doctors or those in the field of healthcare?

I completely understand waiting to see what happens with others before rushing out and being the first one to get the vaccine. Similar to not wanting to be the first one down the track after rain or an oil down.

I for one have little choice given my profession, but love that we are in America where people should have the option to choose and not be forced

What I will say is that a vaccine is typically in place to help keep healthy people from spreading a virus to unhealthy people. Many may argue that they have never had the flu shot and never had the flu. I would say that’s not the case. There is probably not a person who hasn’t had the flu, most are just healthy and show no signs or symptoms. The problem is that the healthy person with the virus showing no signs or symptoms can pass the virus onto those who are unhealthy

If vaccines work, why can people who had a vaccine still get sick? Well a virus can mutate given a host (human) at rapid speeds.

Absolutely feel free to make your own choice, and I respect any and all choices made. I just feel like healthcare workers aren’t lining up to get their vaccine if it’s going to kill them. But who knows, like I said I will have little choice. I’ll let y’all know if I grow an arm out of my forehead or something though

You know my husband had his stem cell transplant and thank God he's 5 years in remission but he asked the Doctor at Moffitt Cancer Center if his cancer came back, what would be the next treatment. And the next treatment is similar to the COVID vaccine.

So, they say never say never! Wink

No cure for the flu or the common cold is correct. But there is a way to prevent the flu, common cold and the Chinese Virus. I get a flu shot every year and have not got the flu since. So if you ask me if I will get the Trump shot the answer is, hek yes. Hopefully I'm up soon! Maybe sooner if Floyd gives me his place in line.

I have been getting the flu shot for a number of years. My wife didn't last year. She got about the worst bout of respitory flu ever. About the time I was hoping the flu shot helped, I got it and got it bad. Statistically speaking, I have gotten the flu about as often with the shot as without it.

I think everyone needs to think about the fact that this new vaccine isn't like the old type where they just introduce dead virus.

These use tiny snippets of genetic code (of the virus) called messenger RNA, or mRNA, to prompt the immune system into producing antibodies to the coronavirus, without using bits of the virus itself.

So they are going to change our genetic code?

What could possibly go wrong?

I did for a nano second. Not getting the vaccine, my family is not getting the vaccine, my in-laws are not getting the vaccine, my close friends are not getting the vaccine.

NO. Your genetic code can not be changed. SMH

Just relating to the discussion of the flu shot. I am not advocating that you get this new vaccine.

I got the Covid 19 a few weeks ago and I am over it now. No reason for me to get vaccine now as I have same anti-bodies as vaccine.

I've gotten a flu vaccine on occasion over the the past 10 years. When I did, I still got the flu some years. When I didn't get the vaccine, some years I did and some years I didn't get the flu. I did not get a flu vaccine this year.

Well, the fear mongers have been saying for some time that we don't test enough, and that the infection rate is twice what it shows. Ok, so then at least 20% of the nation has had it. They don't need the vaccine. Kids are kicking it to the curb, so they don't need it. Get the elderly vaccinated and take a breath.

The testing has proved to be unreliable. Too many false positives.

Tested positive? There could be as little as a 3% chance it’s correct

I'm going to pass on the vaccine. However, I am pretty sure my workplace will soon require it. When that happens, I don't plan on quitting, I'll make them fire me. Take care. Tom Worthington

I'm 73, work full time and put in usually over 50 hours a week.

I have been a rabid exerciser for a good 40 years.....Jogged 5 miles a day, everyday for a number of years. Walking briskly is all I can muster anymore.

I rarely go to a doctor, usually have one typical head cold every year and it generally costs me a day or two out of work

I think I've had one Flu shot ever and had the flu not to many years ago, and that one was bad...

Fever, and so weak I could not even get out of bed and it lasted a while. I surely missed a few days of work with that one......

Will I get the vaccine......I lean toward NO at the present time......and I do a lot to stay healthy.....

Walked 4+ miles yesterday in 30 degree air......Workboots and layered up with a Carhart coat.....same shyt I've done since the jogging craze of the 1970's....
I'm a huge believer in getting out in fresh air no matter what the weather is.....I do use a Treadmill sometimes when it's real bad out...

When I am racing I ride my bike and walk.....and beat the tar out of myself on that bike....The old bones don't always like it but to bad.....LOL

I know a couple people that have recently been hit hard with the virus but up until now, next to no one else...and they had very mild symptoms....

I'm hoping I stay Virus free......

One of the things my doctor told me was take plenty of Vitamin D and Zinc with lots of water. That will help you get over it quicker and harder to catch in first place. Also said regular vitamin with Iron helps.

What ever for me it was no big deal and feel great now.

We lost a woman yesterday that I went to school with. She was probably 53 or 54. She was well known and very respected in the Tulsa EMS/Medical community. She taught ACLS classes that my wife and youngest son had attended. She is the first person under 60 that I have known personally that has passed from this and I'm glad to be able to say that but hate that she is gone.
