I got my first shot of moderna last thursday at the VA...I go back on march 10th for the booster...no side effects whatsoever...btw, it irks me that they keep posting the death toll from covid 19 without regard to underlying conditions...seems to fit the narrative of someone...hmmmm...last I heard the CDC said the actual number from covid alone was barely 10% of what they are claiming...

Our Government has been lying to us for a long time to force their agenda up us. This is nothing new just a new way to put it in.
The total actual numbers of deaths in last year has not changed much from years before.
One thing that has changed is many people were not able to spend time with the ones they love as they were dying and needed us most.
We were not able to have proper funerals for them.
And we were not able to work and go out like we were before.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.
Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

That's the old "died with" opposed to died from gag. Liberal word smiths at work spinning the data. Remember when they came up with revenue enhancement to keep from saying taxes? Beyond deception, it's manipulation.

Larry ScarthI get my second shot on Wednesday, then 2 weeks after that I'm flying to Oregon. Should have built up the antibodies by then. I will physically distance and wear a mask but will have peace of mind.
When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

Floyd StaggsAll 3 of my doctors have said get the shot. They didn't say which one. I get my pre surgery covid test next Thursday and then surgery on the following Tuesday. Then I will take another look at getting the vaccine. I don't want to take a chance of having a reaction and screwing up this surgery. I need to get the nerves fixed and get the strength back in my left hand.

I know 2 people that got sick after their 2nd Moderna shot and a couple of others that were fine with no reaction other than a slight headache and sore arm. At least I have something to look forward too when I get my 2nd shot on March 8th lol

Be careful when you get here. We have already had 4 people test positive after receiving both shots.

why wouldn't you be able to get the virus again after the vaccine? It's not supposed to prevent the virus from getting into your body. It triggers antibodies that will allow your body to fight off the virus in the future without getting severely ill.

If this is the case, and you can still be contagious, how would it slow or stop the spread?

undacuva67Perhaps the spread continues but would one not want the plausible benefit of symptoms not being as bad or deadly without it ? Flip a coin and hope for the best .

The goal of any vaccine is not to slow or stop the spread of a disease. The goal is to achieve herd immunity.
Those vaccinated have the antibodies or the memory to create the antibodies imprinted in T-Cells. As a result, the viral load for those vaccinated is very low even if they do get infected again since their immune system can immediately mount an attack. Lower viral load means much lower likelihood of infecting those around them.
The side affect of herd immunity is a slower spread, therefore protecting those who don't get vaccinated.
Covid is going nowhere. It's permanently a part of our life just like the flu is. We will each year get vaccines to achieve herd immunity for the latest variant exactly like we do today for the flu.
