Paul S/QRace Car ON TRACK coverage
I have searched previous posts here and can find all kinds of insurance coverage for race cars , , but they don't want to cover cars while on the race track ... anyone know of any reliable companies that will cover them this way ... I think Laris does , any others ? thanks

Big SteveFrom what I understand When Phillip Oakley crashed his TD at St Louis, Laris covered it.
Obviously the car wasnt a Total loss like it was in a trailer fire, But at a minimum the cost of a new chassis was covered

Paul S/QI checked with Laris and they do have on track coverage as noted , kind of pricey , but it is what it is .. I have always had off track coverage through the wifes insurance agency , but they don't do ON TRACK ......with the expense of the new cars these days , it would be wise to insure it on track as you never know when bad things could happen ....I have a few months before I need it , I'll keep looking to see if anything else is available ..

Could you give a rough idea what you consider pricey?

TORQINActually after I insured my trailer and contents the "on track" coverage became kind of inexpensive once I reached a certain level of coverage dollar wise.

HolytownI'm considering getting this. I have a question about the trailer insurance. Is this covering the contents of my trailer, or the contents and the trailer. So basically my question is, if I insure the trailer through them , do I still need my progressive insurance for the trailer?

My trailer and car insurance is just an agreed upon dollar value. Trailer and contents covered for X amount to be paid to me. Same for car. The cost to me is based on just how much the agreed value is.

So this wouldn't replace the normal down the road policy I would assume. Just a supplemental type thing?

It's not a supplemental, unless you only cover the trailer for less than replacement value. I don't know why you would want to do that though.
