Flat, the car won't bottom out on the dovetail.

Flat. Dovetail is nothing but PIA. Even with shorter wheel base .Not saying door cars but like 125" wheel base roadsters. Had one way back with first funny car, never again.

Mine has a 6' dovetail. I also use a Buffalo ramp system (out of business now). I used it with my dragster and door car. While watching guy's with flat or dove tail jack the front of their trailer 4' in the air to load, I could just drive in if I wanted.

My opinion, yours may vary..lol

Flat and have a switch installed at the rear of the trailer to operate the landing gear. Yeah, I have to run the front up to load but i do it while leaning on the wall at the rear of the trailer sipping on a cold drink. Not really an issue hauling a dragster and a roadster.

Flat preferably. We've had both and you'll have to jack the flat floor trailer up a lil more for loading. The real downfall is if the digger sits on the dovetail you most likely won't be able to use a transport bladder.

The new trailer we just built for my son and his GF is a flat floor tag, hydraulic jack, and a long door flap and you can load, strap down, and support both cars quick and easy.
