What are some of you racers currently paying per drum of Methanol. Just filled 3- 5 gallon jugs for 90.00. Is that a decent price considering the current issues in the Strait?

Locally I bought a drum (54 gal) of Methanol (Fuse Fuels brand) last month, $227 plus tax. I add a bottle of Klotz Uplon to the drum and it’s shook up on the ride home. Last year at this time it was $200.

At one 1/8 mile track I race at I can get 8 runs out of a 5 gallon jug.

$230 per drum of Chem Source, tax included.

This summer I paid $700 for the first barrel, $550 for the next two. Was paying $350-450 last year. Waiting for this next year because there is a new methanol plant opening up on the north slope and their daily production should drop the price of a barrel to the mid 200's hopefully.
