I used Racepak twice in the past with good results. One was to replace the SD card connector as it was not working all the time and another time for the back light replacement on my UDX dash.

Performance Data Systems is down the road from Racepak. Todd Paton (yes the top fuel driver) is I believe an owner there and knows his stuff. (retired from Racepak) He can steer you the right direction. Please tell him Ben Wolf sent you.

Now that racepak is Holley, it seems like those who answer the phone may or may not know anything about the product an you wait on hold forever. Guy I got was nice enough but had only worked there for a week. I waited on the phone for someone for over an hour.

Why would he do that, what would that do for him? I first told him to call Todd who is the owner of PDS and I'm certain I have done more business with Todd including him personally working on my stuff in my trailer.

Also, don't just send repairs to Todd - buy your sensors, dash's and systems from him. He's a full authorized dealer stocking & selling all the RP products.

Dealers like Todd, Joe at Hyperactive, Don O'Neal & JB Strassweg, Les Figeroa and myself (I'm sure I missed one or two) provide service and knowledge you are not going to get from the big-box stores. We may not be able to match their bonus bucks or whatever promotion but frequently by selling you the right parts from the beginning save more anyway.

I didn't want to neglect mentioning Greg. He has been and is awesome, and much closer as well if you are east coast. I'm just not sure what each of the players can do repairs wise.

Oh, and I wasn't meaning to steal any thunder above. LOL. Some people's reply's don't show up for me until someone quotes them. Todd helped me recently with a pesky and persistent problem for no charge and it's always nice to send business to those like Greg and Todd who will bend over backwards to help. Racepak has a really great product, but their corporate customer support kinda sucks today. The authorized dealers really make up for the service.

You are funny ED!

Classic name dropping, then you get all butt hurt because Bucky does it also. Hopefully Bucky doesn't reply for you to go ACID RANT on him.

Not butt hurt just didn't know mentioning Bucky's name was worth a discount. Roll Eyes

Greg is local to me and his service and knowledge of Racepak products is second to none.

Like a little boy butthurt because he's not getting all the attention. Ed would be the last guy on earth I would ever "namedrop" if I was looking for some help. The amount of attention you seek is pathetic.

Good golly.
My name gets nobody a discount. I haven't done that much business with him and never said I have. But I figured with all his experience at racepak he could help. Plus, he helped me and I figured sending someone Todd's way would be an expression of gratitude. I had no idea nor did I care what Ed was contributing. I don't figure Ed is wrong about everything. But I avoid the associated drama.
