New 1/8 mile all concrete track being built now in Brooksville, FL. Part of an existing motorsports complex. Don't know how much bracket racing they have planned. Yesterday they posted it will be a members only facility, even just to spectate. They have an option for free memberships. Their reasoning for being members only is they want to keep out the bad element that ruins car show, drag races, etc. Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. You are going to turn paying customers away at the gate who don't have memberships? That'll go over real well with Bradenton and Orlando not that far away. Would love to hear what you guys think about this.

I live about 20 minutes from this place. I had hopes it was going to be a viable option for bracket racing. The more I learned the less hope I had. Now reading this I have zero hope. This will be a place for the guys who buy cars off the showroom to come out and run their cars which is great for them and Leadfoot City but not for bracket racing. Wish them the best but not what I was hoping for.

I was at the first meeting he held back in Nov. 2019 concerning the track and I held out hope that it would be a viable option. But as time progressed his vision of an automotive theme park started showing through. Once the track was done, and when his announcement of his track manager was made, I knew it wasn't going to be your typical drag strip. I understand his wanting to keep the riff raff out since that's why the place shut down a few years ago, but there has to be a better alternative. I guess time will tell.

It's the Cartman (South Park) marketing strategy.

Tell people they can't come, they'll be lined up for miles.

Riff Raff?? We are the Riff Raff. Sounds like they want retirees with their new Corvettes and Teslas to sit around and talk about what wax they use.

What type of programs do you plan to run?

It will all be based on demand. Starting out with your traditional heads-up grudge racing, test-n-tunes, etc.

Bracket racing and other forms will be considered if there is enough interest.

If you haven't already, please take a moment to complete the questionnaire further down this page and give us your feedback on what you'd like to see.

Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

That’s what pushed out bracket racing at Sonoma. Dr’s, Lawyers and whoever renting track for road course.
