CashflowWho is/was the Greatest Dragracer ever?
Now you can continue the conversation with who's the best Sportsman racer? I would probably have to say David Rampy. Although I always thought David Nickens was great. He just seemed to always be on the cutting edge. Carry on.........

CashflowI was in Great Bend Kansas pitted down at the turn-off. Rampy wins the race and stopped right next to my trailer. I went over and said “Didn’t you just win this thing?” Yes I did was the answer, wasn’t excited at all that I could tell. Hell, I would’ve been doing a cartwheel!

It's the toothpick, it keeps him cool. He come down to Florida, they used to have a decent sized Super Pro race at Lakeland on Wednesday night. He showed up with a Winnebago sponsored Pontiac Aspen, looked like Vega Super Gas car the week of the Daytona 500. That race was pretty decent because Lakeland is in the center of Orlando and Tampa, so they'd get a good crowd on a Wednesday night. 1995, it paid $1500.
$1500 in 1995, is the equivalent of $2700 today.
I talked with him for quite a while, he's from Alabama. Real super nice guy. He was on his way to Daytona for the 500.
