So I was one of first original members here where this site opened maybe 1998? Hard to say exactly when it started, I lost my original name here when they did the server change or what ever it was and had to start over with new name.

It grew pretty fast once it started for sure and has been a great source of information and meeting other racers. Have noticed most all discussion boards are not as popular or busy as they used to be but this one here is still the biggest and best.

Anyway just curious when they actually did start this site and how many members there are.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

This Bracket Talk message board platform opened in 1999. There is currently 11,738 registered members. Obviously some are no longer with us on earth but have not been removed.

We still have approximately 3m page views per month with the following for December.

Total Page Views: 2.86m
Avg. Page Views/Day: 98759

Here is a good link for history - https://drr.infopop.cc/eve/mem...r_sort_order=3&p=118

Not as active as possible for posts as the platform is to old to conform to easy mobile use. There are options to go to, but all the current posts and history would be lost.

SL,

I assume a good many views come from our guest(s), they far outweigh our members at any given time on the forum. Have you thought of ways to attract or give incentive(s) to become a member?

When I first joined, Windows 98 was brand new, and the Matty Box was the hot topic...was probably one of the first to get banned. Cool

I knew it was sometime around 1999 when I first found this site. Started off with a bang and got popular quick.

One of my other favorite web sites was the Yellow airgun forum. They made a change to new format and lost almost everyone. Sometimes change is not better. There is a risk involved there.

I am surprised it seems there are many people who come here and read but never post. They should probably get involved and pipe up.
